I'm really hoping we see Drake as part of the next line up. My second choice would be Dietrich.

I think he is a given at this stage since he is one of the few remaining ' big 'characters from the second film.Given that I think they would save him to put in a wave that needs more attention, say the Resurrection heavy wave or a slow week of releases.

However, a Dietrich would be cool as few toy lines have a female marine medic in them. Would make a stand out figure if done right.

Mine also had an issue that was not apparent until I took her out of the box, same arm. The forearm was rotated with the elbow facing up and the pose and packaging warped it into position sorta wrapped around Newt so simply rotating the arm back around wasn't an option (and I never have good results 'unwarping' something with heat, it always goes back to the warped position)

Anyway it turned out to not be a big problem - I shaved the elbow so it could bend normally and the curve of the arm actually looked fine, no one would know.

As for your hand situation - is there any other figure in your collection she can take a hand from? Another option - if you buy a Powerloader that comes with hands. Failing all that, I undoubtedly have a spare that I could send you since you're only across the water.
I only have the first Ripley with the same hands but I don't have any spare, I was considering the Power Loader for a while but I mainly collect figures only so I don't think I will be buying it in the near future. What have you done in a similar situation do you just buy another or have you managed to get NECA to fix anything for you. Also did you manage to get the Vasquez decals from NECA as I was really hoping to get one of those for the figure. PS How much do you think it will be to send the hand to the UK?

I've never dealt with NECA customer service - not that I've never had faulty figures, I've just never tried to do anything about it - usually I'm buying multiples and the problems of one figure can be fixed by another.

As far as sending you a hand, it wouldn't cost any more than the price of an international stamp I wouldn't think, not even worth charging you for in all likelihood.

RockyRambo I'd at least try to contact NECA customer service. I had a similar issue with a Hot Toys Robocop, I got two right hands, and although it took WEEKS to get a response from them, they ultimately said they have no more parts since the figure came out a while ago. At least with this Rip/Newt set, they should for sure have parts since it's actively being made so you might get lucky. I'd at least send them an email to find out what their stance is, that won't cost you anything.

I was going to give them one more try so I will let you know the response but I'm 99% certain it will be : Unfortunately we don't do international replacements. Though if you have a US address we can work with that: Which was my response when I asked for the Vasquez decal. What is the percentage of a people outside the US having or knowing someone with a US address id say it was pretty low.

I am going to give NECA one more try but it is extremely unlikely they will do anything for me. So I will probably have to take you up on your extremely generous offer. I will get back to you after I've posted NECAs response to the problem. I'm really just doing it so other international NECA collectors can see that there's no customer service outside the US.

Neca could easily send you an replacement and it wouldn't cost much at all,

They'd get praise and you'd get your replacement, done deal right?

But if neca does it once they have to do it for everyone in the uk. Can't have praise from one fan and deny others replacements - leads to backlash.

Let's say they do it for everyone in the uk then, each replacement cost would break into:

Replacement item, envelope /packaging, Time to package replacement, Fuel to get to post office, commute time.

Times that by.. well infinite - and getting a little negative feedback from oversea buyers sounds like a quite appealing alternative.

Offer this service to the UK then what about over countries... would only lead to more backlash.

Neca does offer the uk and other countries distributors returns.

That's y we are supposed to contact the seller we bought it off. So they can return it to the distributor and they can return it to neca.

isn't an easy process tho, it can be "hard" to get products returned to the distributor. why most sellers are funny about refunds etc.

Unlucky for those who open and find defects after period of return.

It's a underrated piece for sure

HOW? lol. Who is under rating this piece? This was the ultimate fan service Neca has done for fans. I really wanted this but just couldn't justify the $300 price tag. But it was amazing that they even made this for fans to begin with.

From neca twitter concerning the toy fair in 3 weeks.

Yeah I dunno that it's 'underrated' so much as most people were simply priced out. That's the reason hardly anyone has it. Even if it were massively discounted it'd barely make a difference to me due to the insane shipping costs.

It's a underrated piece for sure

It is if the foam material lasts longer than a couple of years like NECA says it will. I personally wouldn't buy anything that expensive unless its made of a stronger material especially by NECA. I don't want to look like I'm NECA bashing here as I've been collecting them for over 10 years and 75% of the figures I don't have any trouble with. Plus McFarlane before them weren't much better as there was a lot of breaking back then too. Its just their CS is bad, just think about having to send that Space Jockey all the way back to the states once it starts to crumble!:lol

I want that space jockey so badly but foam will deteriorate overtime. Should of been resin like some of there other pieces it looks great but not worth the cash.

I'm pretty sure it's a guess if the foam wouldn't hold up for everyone . So it's about a 300$ awesome piece to display with for years. And I'm sold for fun at this rate. It's a lot money but not the end of the world . So let's said it fails in 5 years , it's been a fun hobbie . Great pictures, nothing last forever.
People are getting picky over 20$ figures is what it's coming do to.

I mean come on,

So funny story...(actually bit of a long story, so I'll spare you) but the gist of it is I accidentally ended up with these!

In case anyone wondered, they are exactly what you expect. A 'fun' item with plenty of flaws, but if you can score a deal (I believe they are being heavily discounted about now), you could do worse than to scoop em up.

This was NECA CS response
: You can attempt to contact the distributor who provided to the retailer you purchased from:
I've tried to contact Star Images the UK distributer before and I never get a reply so I told them that and there next response was
: I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we still are unable to offer replacements outside the US at this time:

Would you still be able to send the Ripley hand as I tried NECA one more time and it was a no go.

UMMM, what to say about your collection room ? Wow seems somehow an under statement .

Since they are showing off the Aliens weapon pack at the upcoming toy fair maybe they will also show off another marine with it ? Would be the perfect time to do it to keep interest in the line going beyond the hardcore fans.
... no more marines this year. Their schedule is so full and well only get two waves or the regular Alien line with a couple separate release here and there
