Need advice on 10" body for Mathilda from Léon.

So I am looking to complete a Mathilda (Natalie Portman) figure from Léon. Natalie Portman is 5' 2" as an adult, which means she would have been approximately 5' 0" on average at age 13, which is precisely a 10" figure in 1:6 scale.

The only proper 10" figure I can find is a Hitler Youth one from Dragon, but it way too broad in the chest/shoulders for a teenage girl. My only real idea to date is to buy a readily available 9" Star Trek female character (like Jadzia Dax) and modify the body to the proper scale. I'm not ever sure what kind of articulation those figures have though.

Does anyone have any bodies they recommend or advice for making a short, thin figure.

Obitsu and volks make smaller kid sized bodies.

Try the junky spot for obitsu bodies. They have a large variety.

The Volks and Obitsu bodies are measured in centimeters. 10 inches would be 25.4 cm, and both 23 cm and 25 cm are standard sizes for kid bodies. 27 cm is their equivalent of 1/6 scale, though it is actually smaller; 12 inches would be 30.48 cm. Here are a couple of links:

Volks has a 25 cm called the MIDI. Additional hands are also available on the site.

Obitsu is sold in the U.S. through The Junky Spot, which carries lots of 25 cm choices.

You might want to compare the hands before deciding which to order. Be sure to check out shoes for the figure while you're at it; you can alter everything else. Clothes can be found at the respective sites, on eBay including "25 cm" in your search, or at Hobby Search. Hobby Search also carries occasional 1:6 items, but be careful to note the scale and the manufacturer before ordering anything stated as 1:6. It can still run small.

Thank you for the detailed response, Gruff Old Bear. I may not be able to get quite as dynamic a pose as I would like (Mathilda brandishing a gun as Léon trains her), but I think some 25cm body will work out really well. I especially like that they come in more accurate smaller bust sizes.
