Need an RPG for PSP!

I'm heading out for a long trip soon and I need a good PSP game to waste a good 30 hours or so. I've already played the Kingdom Hearts game and last time I played Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Can anyone recommend a good RPG for PSP that is something along the lines of a Chrontrigger type game? I'll even take a PSN download recommendation.

Some RPGs and similar PSP games I've enjoyed in the past that you might like:

Persona 3 portable. One of the more unique jrpgs out there. Very Japanese though (takes place in a Japanese High School). Will last you a good long while. No need to play previous Persona games.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Plays like a more sophisticated Kingdom Hearts. I guess you wouldn't need to have played FFVII, but there are story elements that tie in.

Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile were pretty good too.

Joanne D'Arc- Tactical RPG, got hooked on this hidden gem. Story is pretty good as well. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys RPGs.

Joanne D'Arc- Tactical RPG, got hooked on this hidden gem. Story is pretty good as well. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys RPGs.

I'd second this one, it was a lot of fun and you can pick it up for less than 20$ now.

Yup. They're not actually shooting themselves though, it's not a gun but a gun-like object used to summon a Persona.

I really enjoyed Star Ocean: First Departure on the PSP. I haven't had much opportunity to play many other RPGs, but Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep isn't that bad.

Just mute the game whenever the main characters talk.

It's so weird that all of the minor characters have great voices... but the main ones sound like amateurs.

Some of the ones I've enjoyed as of late are: Knights in the Nightmare, Persona 3 Portable, Lunar: Silverstar Story, and Tactics Ogre. If you are looking for something similar to FFT, Tactics Ogre is an excellent choice.

Though not like Chrono Trigger my favorite RPG for the PSP was Crisis Core.

I third on the Jean dÄrc. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Played it a few times even.

Jean dÄrc is also surprisingly pretty damn accurate for a fantasy type game to the actual story (or so I hear).
