Need some help....(comic book related)

So theres a thread in the DC part of the board asking for some suggestions on what to read if your kind of new to DC. Im not exactly new to marvel, ive read Spiderman for years but thats just about it lol. Nothing else. Some X-men and Daredevil but besides that nothing. So is there anything I should read? ANything that is a MUST for a Marvel fan? Heres some characters id really like to read about and maybe I could get some suggestions?

Daredevil (This is the main one I want some books on BADLY.)
Spiderman (Not very important, like I said ive always read spidy, but why not)
Deadpool (Everyone talks about him. I want to know why)
Silver Surfer (Pretty important. Right behind Dardevil)

Never been a big hulk fan. Is planet hulk really good? The post above me says so but I always thought people didnt like it. Or was that WWH? Like I said i only followed Spiderman so im not sure

no i think plan. hulk was pretty good, but i belive it was wwh that sucked a$$ or was it the other way around? IVE RED TO MANY COMICS!!!

planet hulk is a good prequel to WWH. the punisher MAX series is well worth reading!!!!

Read Ed Brubaker's current run on Daredevil. He took over for Bendis with issue #82 and has put Daredevil through hell since. Also Deadpool's 3rd series just started.

Deadpool is a cool character, his books are a bit on the silly side though. So if you're into that sort of thing, I'd say go for it.

Planet Hulk was great, WWH was good.

Punisher MAX rules, buy the trades. (some pretty hardcore stuff here)

Any Cosmic titles in the last few years have been fantastic - get the Annihilation & Nova trades, then the Gaurdians of the Galaxy when that's eventually released.

You can't go wrong with anything written by Brubaker as well. All of his runs on the various titles have been outstanding!

agreed. the current thor series is really getting good.
~~i'm gonna jump in this by asking for some good Daredevil books. i'm more of a TPB reader and prefer to buy one book that contains an entire storyline rather than jumping around. since i've been reading the miller batman book i was thinking about picking up the Miller daredevil omnibus, but its $100. has anyone read this?? and is it worth that much money??

Born Again
Guardian Devil
Daredevil Yellow
Then jump into the Bendis run.

Spiderman - in no particular order:
Kraven's Last Hunt
Spider-Man Blue
The Death of the Stacys
Brand New Day - very accessible to new readers

Deadpool:

Check out the original mini series
Any of his original ongoing series
Cable/Deadpool vol. 1
The new series is on issue three and is a solid read.
