Should someone who basicly has no feedback ship first?
Or is there another way to go? I've got 2 positives, and the seller has 1 feedback from over a year ago.

I would definately ask a ZERO feedback to ship first, that is perfectly fine to me...

Given that you haven't even been here a month, I wouldn't be sending anything, unless I had the cash up front, low feedback or not.

I know that's may be not the answer you wanted.

Sorry.

I myself have NO problem sending payment first, a long has the seller high/good feedback. I've done two deals on here so far, and I'm hoping to do more. I'm just a little nervous dealing with this seller, but I really want what he's selling, as it's an incredible price.

I don't use PayPal anymore. I've been a member over at OSW for a few years, and I sold my HT Wolverine to a boardie there.

I mailed him out, with signature confirmation, I have the document from the United States Post Office with his signature, and date signed for.

Also, I've got plenty of PMs from the buyer saying "he looks good on my shelf next to my Mark 5 iron man"

The buyer filed a claim for "item not recieved", and PayPal STILL ____ing sided with him, even though I had all this proof. They told me "it couldn't be verified" so I lost $670. Now, I only use US Postal Money Orders, and I've never, ever had a problem.

Use PayPal. They'll protect you.

My thoughts exactly, use the goods/service option rather than gift. I know it incurs a fee but I think that assurance that your money is safe if anything goes wrong is worth the extra payment.:peace

I used to think that too, not anymore(see above post).

Sorry man, I must've typing my post at the same time. Saw it after I posted it. Sorry to hear that even going through safer channels with paypal you still got scammed, sucks!

Gotta say I've never really had any kind of probs with private deals off ebay so I'm a bit naive when it comes to the lengths people will go to scam fellow collectors.

Apart from losing money on deals gone bad, paypal/ebay's attitude towards sellers means that even when a sale goes through you're sweating on it for 45 days wondering whether the buyer is going to open a dispute.

Know the feeling I was having a great time selling my unwanted stuff to fund other purchases on ebay until about a year ago then I was almost caught by a part refund blackmailer, haven't sold anything on there since.:peace

I'm not sure how or why that happened, but you're usually a lot safer buying with PayPal than sending Money Orders. if you send a money order your only recourse is.... small claims court.

I threatened the buyer with that, but he refused to respond, I also refused to PayPal back also. The guy got banned from OneSixthWarriors.
I can't believe that he got my figure, plus his money back. ******* waited till the 40th day too.

I don't know what to think of that....

What do they want to see exactly?
If a signature confirmation on a tracked package isn't enough, what are they asking for instead ?

The only possible further 'verification' than that would be what? ....the Postal officer confirming he remembers delievering that particular package? ....the claimiant themselves admitting they lied?

And I hope you utterly destroyed him on the OSW boards at least?

So you're buying from him? Then heck yeah you're going to pay first. No seller in their right mind will EVER send something without getting paid first :lol Your question is only valid on a trade. Period.

Their main argument was that the "transaction did not take place on eBay"

And yes, I did :D he got banned.
