That could be, though I don't think there would be that much detailing on a piece like this, but you never know.

I'm wondering if it isn't a Viking or something to go with Blackbeard.

If it's not a King of the Dead I would be shocked. That armor is a near perfect match and you can sorta see the upper rib cage behind it.
