Hello everyone,

My name is Barry and new to the hobby. I am originally from NYC, and now live in Tampa Florida. As a child I would collect action figures. I was born in 82, so needless to say ninja turtles, thunder cats, Batman, X-men were my favorite characters. I collected hordes of action figures, vehicles & play-sets. I would save my pennies & save for my toys. I would work so hard and be dedicated to get what I wanted, price was not a factor eventually my model, my Art!

When I moved away from home, my mom got rid of my old toys & gave away my collection to kids in the neighborhood. As upsetting as it was I made my peace & left the hobby. Now, years later I'm browsing the net & came across the 1;6 scale 1989 Batmobile. I was like Holy $?&@. I had to have it, It was my childhood favorite. I watched it for a while added it to my wish list. I've since told my fiancée what it costs. Months after her accepting, that I will buy, this piece no matter what, & last week purchased it. I am amazed on the scale collectibles out there. I found 1989 Batman & Joker as my first purchase. The joker arrived last week and I was blown away on the beauty & detail of the piece. I'm now waiting for batman & his chick magnet batmobile to arrive in the next few days. So I am now here to stay & planning my collection. I purchased yesterday Heath ledger joker & looking at the 66 batman & robin & hopefully the 66 batmobile.

Welcome to the hobby, Barry! Thanks for sharing your story. I also lost all of my childhood toys. I guess that happens for most of us.

Now, I am making up for it by going nuts. I will always be a child in my heart, I am sure.
