This is not really a question, I just wanted to give very positive feedback to Sideshow (and a big Thanks!) for the new Estimated Item Arrival Emails. Instead of just saying something like "this item will arrive into our warehouse in 15 to 20 days", they now give an exact number of days, but even better, they give the exact day that card processing will occur! And instead of the old emails that we got a day or two before processing, we now know at least two to three weeks in advance what day they will begin processing cards and can be much better prepared.

Thank you Sideshow for the improved processing emails! Keep up the great work! :D

Yup, I love these emails too. They help me to brace myself for when Sideshow loots my bank account! :D

I am glad that our collectors have noticed that! International collectors are also given firm ship costs in those e-mails when possible and we will be working to have ship costs appear for our domestic collectors as well!

We are trying to give everyone the maximum amount of time to be able to plan for us to 'loot' their accounts! (nice description by the way!)

good business decision.
more accurate and longer "heads up" should result in less CC declines.

Its definitely in the best interest of both sideshow and the collector to do this. good initiative...

i'm an international customer and didn't get an email with a firm shipping cost, i got an email a day or so after i got my sipping invoice number. another person in the EU warehouse closing thread didn't get one either.

I am also an International Customer and didn't even get any emails regarding my recent shipments in Jan 2010 before the items shipped. My most recent shipment was just last week. No email for that shipment either. I only get the Invoice Emails around 2 to 3 days after the items have been shipped.

If you are not getting your 'estimated arrival' emails, please contact customer service and they can check into that. Please have your order numbers and account information ready to relay to them to help them figure it out. Estimated arrival emails are sent anywhere from 5 to 25 days before the item is scheduled to arrive in our warehouse (it depends on how much of a heads-up we have that it is on its way!) :duff

Also, for international collectors, the estimated arrival emails will begin to include estimated shipping cost soon, in many (but not all) cases. If we don't know the DIM weight for some reason (sometimes this is the case with distributed items that do not come from our factories), or if you have more than one of a particular item in the same order, you will need to contact customer service for a shipping quote (and/or to cancel your order) BEFORE the date that the order is scheduled to be charged. Once you have received an invoice, it is too late, as it has already been charged. They are currently turning around shipping quotes within about 1-2 business days.

Again, if you are not receiving your estimated arrival emails, please contact customer service so they can look into that. Also, please make sure you have all of our email addresses in your 'white list' (or safe list) so that your email provider does not mark it as spam. Please add [email protected] to your contacts list to help avoid this problem! :duff

hard to know sometimes though when you're due an invoice or estimated shipping date if you never get the email. i didn't know my latest piece was due to ship till i got the tracking number so not sure how i was meant to email in advance asking for an estimated arrival email.

If you notice on the forums that other people are discussing their estimated arrival emails for the products you have on pre-order, but you have not received one, that is a good sign. Now that you know you haven't received at least one, I would definitely add that email address - [email protected] - to your safe contacts list. If you continue to not receive them after you have done that, please call and customer service can attempt to find out if there is a problem with the delivery :duff

I got mine for the EX KotCS Indy the other day. I too really like this! 2 days isn't enough time (for me anyway) for a credit card payment to go through. It takes at least 2 days and even then it doesn't show up until late the night of that second day. So I had my card decline despite the fact I had made a payment, but it just hadn't shown up yet.

But this way, I can plan out in advance! This is very, very help! :rock

I like that Sideshow lets you know when the item will be received in their warehouse. And even better when I know the exact date that the card processing will occur. This is very helpful.

It seems like it is taking me forever to get up to 50 posts!!!! I guess I am not very talkative!!
