And once again, Freddy gets some love. And all over the SSC freaks board... there was much rejoicing... and it was good.

I am very excited about this Freddy!!! Looks like I am gonna have to try to get Freddy, Anakin (not bloody likely!), and what I think will be another Dead figure!

Freddy is gonna be awesome! I am so glad they decided to revisit this figure with a new headsculpt!

Sideshow has evolved quite a bit since the initial Freddy, so I can't wait!

What could a Freddy from Part 3 mean? Except from the first movie (which Sideshow really hasn't attempted yet,) Freddy's appearance is nealy identical in every other film!

No I'm not. The first Sideshow Freddy is just kind of a generic be-all-end-all figure wearing his signature sweater from the sequels. It's not a very film specific figure.

Well, if you watch the movies in order and pay attention to Freddy each time... you will see quite a significant change for each film. And this goes for his burn makeup as well as his costume. People used to say that Jason looked the same in every film, and now that you have all the figures standing next to each other you can see the transition.

Freddy in part 3 was a good leap forward from part 1 and 2. The makeup was stellar, being a lot closer to that look that we all imagine when we think of Freddy. Colors in each film changed from darker to lighter tones for Freddy's sweater and pants, so that is always different. Plus, you can do any number of different Freddy's, with all the ways he killed his victims... from the Super hero Freddy, to the Syringe finger freddy, the tux freddy, pizza freddy (with that sick ass pizza)....endless possibilities...

So the fact that you say "they are all the same", you obviously are not a huge Freddy fan... it's ok...Not ragging you for that..

But please understand if one of us who IS a bigger fan sees fault in your words when you say that Freddy is the same in every movie.... because he is not. Just don't order.. Make it easier for me to have one of my very own...

Its going to be a great Con for us, Sideshow's horror fan...Thats what people tend to forget about Sideshow...They started in this buisness doing horror stuff...LOTR and Star Wars came much later...So, its good to see Sideshow doing Con Exclusives for us, Movie Maniacs and Zombie geeks....

It will be a 12" figure I believe... And do not worry about your ignorance... hey, not everyone is a horror fan. But the few of us who are... can be rabid.

It is a nice time to be a horror fan at SDCC! I'm very sad to not be able to go, but will do everything I can to get these figures on my shelf with the other madmen!!

Well, the NECA and Mcfarlane Freddy's suck compared to the SSC treatment so far.... Not really worried about the competion here. A new Freddy is good in my book.. So I'll get it for sure.
