New to This Game

Thought I would introduce myself to the group. I've been a fan of Artgerms work for a while now and recently saw his Deviant Art page showing the Vampirella art he did for Sideshow. I decided to see if Sideshow produced a limited edition print that I could purchase. As of right now they don't, but it did lead me to the Premium Format Vampirella figure which I decided I immediately had to have. I hope the real thing is as good as the photos. So Vampirella is pre-ordered and will be my first statue. Then I started looking around for other statues as great looking as the Vampirella one and thats when I found this group. I think I may be hooked. Decided it might be a good idea to get in with a group of experts and learn a little more about what I'm getting into and what other people might recommend. Since I ordered the Vampirella figure I guess it's pretty obvious that I like the female form when it comes to statues. Thanks for letting a novice in. I'll try to search around for previous posts before I ask any stupid questions and make anyone repeat themselves.

There are all sorts of statues like that around. You may well like Yamato statues too. For example:

I'm not sure how popular the style is. But we've just started to trial some Yamato statues. What do you think?

Interesting statue. I'll have to look into the site more and see what Yamato has to offer. Definately love the Marvel and DC Heroine statues. But for some reason, even besides the outfit, I've always loved the old Vampirella magazines from the early 1970's. Thanks for the heads-up. As a newbie I'm always interested discovering manufactures I don't know about.

There is so much out there. It's always interesting hearing what people like. I still hear new characters that people are huge fans of that I've never heard of. Keeps things interesting
