This line is totally wierd to me, but I think it is really neat that such a random lisence from the past would be made into collectable statues.

Man I'd just love to see Vega and Bison! It could be awesome if they did all the main characters.

Poor Ryu ... those steroids didn't just shrink his "member" ... they rotted it right off! What's the use of going to war if there can be no love in the end ... um, wait ... that didn't sound right :monkey5

I passed on Akuma but Ryu will be a hard one to miss out on....depending on price I'll have to nab this one and if the exclusive is Evil Ryu then that's a double hit to the wallet.

I remember the pose from the game, right before he fought he'd tighten his headband but I'd be lying if I didn't say I would have preferred a pose like this:

I think it's funny how Jerry practically buried SOTA and now he just went right ahead and started a new collectible company?I wonder if it'll last.

But anyways, Jerry's sculpting work is fantastic, but I agree with you Jedi_Mike, some more dynamic poses would've been much better looking and more appealing.

I think it's funny how you're full of ****. His new gig is not a company, it's just him going solo. Making small runs of resin statues has FAR less overhead than running a toy company. Also, Capcom loves him, so continuing with the franchise is easy and profitable.

Jerry M. was one of the founders and the CEO of SOTA toys which acquired the Street Fighter license from Capcom and got a lot of fan attention and popularity when they showed off their products for the first time...which needless to say were spectacular and they still are the best SF figures to come out.

Jerry used to post on action-figure.com boards a lot and unfortunately he began making a lot of promises about possible upcoming products, when products were going to be shown and/or shipped, and while it was great he was being close with the fans...it was really turning against him when the Street Fighter line became plagued with HUGE shipping delays (for example,Round 4 figures were supposed to be released in Fall '05 but they didn't come out till Spring '06) and he was really not keeping ANY of his promises...even the die-hard fans turned against him because they were getting frustrated. Now not everything is entirely Jerry's fault (old factory refused to turn over figure molds, thousands of Round 1 figures destroyed in a shipping accident, etc.), but I'm sure there was a lot of mismanagement that went around and it ended up costing both the company and the fans.

The last SOTA Street Fighter figures came out over a year ago (with the exception of Gouken from SDCC) and inbetween that period Jerry sold the company and new management took over to try and pull the company out of its hole.Jerry claimed he wanted to go back to Special FX work (he used his money from his work to create SOTA) but I guess he went around and made a new company.

Calm down jackhole...

That's great for him then,I'm sure it'll give him plenty of time to concentrate on what his Special FX work while tossing out some collectibles here and there.

he has stated that he is keeping these statues at low edition sizes & only 3-4 per year...........sounds like he learned his lesson then
