Thanks for posting that tom. I just saw the preview for this the other day when I saw Monster House. I am so glad it is actually going to be playing in San Antonio where I live. I am still pissed we didn't get Superman Returns in Imax 3-d even though we have an Imax 3-d theatre.

Definitely going to pick up that poster. I have both 3-d lenticular posters and the original regular style poster as well. That poster has been my desktop background for about a week now.

That's where I saw it. I knew I had saw something about this but couldn't remember where, it was when we saw Monster House.

And yes, I can't wait for this!!!!!!!

What did you think of Monster House? I really enjoyed it, since it wasn't your typical kids flick. It was pretty dark.

Cool announcement... I love 3D stuff and as an added bonus I get to see a great movie in the theatre again to boot!

We loved it too. We took our oldest 2 to see it and there were only like 2 other families there. Kids still talk about it. Looking forward to picking up the DVD

its gret there re releasing this film, and in 3d it will look ace.
Wonder if its around here?
THe thing which annoys me about Disney is that they completely wrote off this film as it was to mature for some kids and wasnt in the theme of disney films, but now that tim burton is a hugely polular director and since corpse bride they are only too happy to pipe up that it is one of there films. Regularly here you get a 3 disney DVDs for £20, but NBX wasnt even in there.

Like i say, glad it gets the credit its due, as it was the first film to be fully filmed with stop animation.:D

I am pretty sure Nightmare Before Christmas has been pretty popular for Disney for a while. Merchandise wise, I think it has been popular since its release. As far as I know every year they make the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Nightmare themed and this has been going on for a while. Also, Tim Burton was already a popular Director when it was released, so I don't think him being hugely popular now has anything to do with it. If you think about it, he was probably more popular then coming off the Batman films. Also, they gave the film a 10th anniversary rerelease in 2003 which was well before Corpse Bride came out, so it is not like they are only now giving the film respect. The funny thing that always gets me about NBC is that most people don't even realize Tim Burton didn't even direct the movie.

I know the aspect ratio is only 1.66:1, but I'm still mad Disney hasn't released an anamorphic DVD of this yet. :monkey2

They had two good opportunities with the 10th anniversary and then when Corpse Bride was released.

bumping this thread since it starts tomorrow. I am hoping to catch this over the weekend.

Bumping this thread as it is being released again on Friday. I believe I read that along with NBC they are showing a 3d version of Vincent before it this year.

I missed this last time, hope its showning again in the London Imax and with vincent added make it even better.

If you haven't seen it I would recommend it to all Nightmare Before Christmas fans, it's really a nice movie experience. I'm going to have to pass seeing it again in 3D since I don't really want to spend $14 again.
