G4 just reported from Comic Con that Spock will be portrayed by two actors in the new "Star Trek" movie. One of those actors is none other than Leonard Nimoy!

It's JJ Abrams so maybe it's Spock on Romulus, his last known whereabouts, and they keep doing a flashback to the younger Spock. :lol

If it is an older Spock remembering back to his earlier days, I think the presence of Nimoy will help sell the fact that another actor is playing the Spock part. It will also help tie this movie into the Star Trek universe.

I would LOVE to see Nimoy as Spock again, I don't care how old he is...

I have been rewatching TOS, I've gotten seasons 1 and 2 DVDs as gifts, and rewatching every single episode has made me appreciate this show even more!

Spock is absolutely the coolest character of the entire show and the interactions of the Three is just a pure delight to behold. There I go off reminiscing...

I was interested in seeing this movie but if Nimoy is in it, I will be looking FORWARD to seeing it! I haven't been this excited about a ST movie since ST VI in 1991...

I have also heard that there is interest in having Shatner appear in the film in an as yet undisclosed cameo.

Zachary Quinto will make a great Spock. I'm looking forward to seeing how Nimoy's Spock will be integrated into the movie.

Normally I'd assume they'd do a standard flashback "I remember when I was in the academy and Kirk and I met..." kinda thing with a past conflict that tied into whatever the old Spock will being doing at the time, but with JJ Abrams helming it I don't expect anything so simplistic.

Maybe the old Spock will die (again) at the end of the film, though I doubt they''ll come up with anything better than the Wrath of Khan demise. It'd be cool to have some time traveling and old Spock meets his younger self to overcome whatever antagonist is stirring up trouble this film, but I guess they already did that old/young self thing in ST Nemesis. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shatner strap on the girdle and tupee again especially if they figure a way to bring Kirk back from the dead, though that'd conflict with Shatner's Trek book. Whatever way they do it I totally trust JJ to deliver at least the second best if not the best Star Trek flick ever - not too hard considering half of them are terrible. :lol

It is sci-fi so anything plotwise is possible. Time travel, alternate universe, Vulcan mumbo-jumbo.

We'll just have to wait to see what unfolds...

I hope this one turns out to be a good one. Will it be odd or even? or is that every other Trek film stinks rule even valid anymore?
