I must admit I wasnt a fan of the design either. In the meanwhile I got used to it and am ready for the movie. If the story doesnt bring it heres hope we get at least a Megan Fox motorcycle scene and a few TMMT kick ass action.

This being said the new figures really seem to be of quality, especially the sculpt. The only issue I have with them (which is a general one) is that these figures are 5 inches. They dont fit with any other TMNT line. Vintage, 200X and even the Classis are all bigger in a 7 inch like scale. This continuity is broken up which is kind of frustrating in my eyes...

Nevertheless a great review once again! Thanks! :duff

Yep, a 5" scale is pretty much the Playmates standard - TMNT, Simpsons, Trek...Classics were done in a 7" scale, but they were the odd duck.

Well, yes. Technically you guys are right of course. But the Nick figures and the newer movie figures simply dont fit in for me scale wise if this makes any sense...

Heres a pic that might give you an idea of what I mean... It just feels smaller than the others...

Nevertheless I look like a Turtles noob now. :lol

Good review Michael, not a big fan of the new look for this movie, but oh well a new Turtles Movie is better than no Turtles movie.

Michael I listened to your recent hottoyscast; you, Emon and Jeff are always a pleasure to listen to. From your recent ED-209 review have you had any issues yet with the rubber components?

@ KGS thanks for the group photo of the recent releases: love the N.E.C.A. release, great set.

Nope, just checked it again this weekend and no problems yet. If I can find someone there this year - not sure who they have attending this time, if anyone - I'll bring it up and see what they say.

Awesome, can't wait to hear the next episode. I only just started listening and largely due to hearing that Michael is on it, as the 1/6 scale figure reviews on your website were totally what got me into collecting that scale. Man, that was about 10 years ago too.... Side note, maybe you did it on an earlier episode I haven't heard yet - but I would totally love to hear you guys talk in depth about some older 1/6 scale stuff and how some of your old favorites hold up to todays standards.
