they probably wont announce anything till toyfair. if sideshow is only going to release these figures for events like toyfair and sdcc it'll be a looooooooooooong time before i have a good solid collection of all the charactors i want.

Well, it was more than a month between our first look at Faramir and the eventual PPO. Nonetheless, I hope we get something at least by Spooktacular.

If the prototype is ready to be displayed in a cabinet in their hallway, I am sure it is ready for PPO. My guess: spooktacular PPO.

The LotR releases are so few and far between that they like to tease them a lot more. I expect to have an announcement in the podcast that an announcement will be made two weeks hence.

Then that announcement will be that there's a new 12" to be announced.

Two weeks after that they give a hint about the announcement.

Then after the hint we get a silhouette of a hand or something.

Two weeks after that - a preview pic - maybe a shoe.

Then the following week the name of the character is revealed along with the real preview pic.

Then the following month comes the PPO.

So we're looking at order date - October 08 for Gandalf - shipping sometime after The Hobbit is released.

Toy Fair would be ridiculously long of a wait. February? There would be at least 3 threads on the demise of the line by then...
