Just got news early this morning that Nokia will be cutting 10,000 jobs by end of next year.

Well some of you may or may not know, but I work as a Food Service Director at the Nokia Burnaby under Sodexo. I don't think this would affect me personally. I am hoping they will be able to relocate to another Sodexo operated site. However, it's looks very gloomy for others. :(

That's awful and I hope this doesn't affect your employment. Wish you the best good sir.

motorola & apple is where it's at as far as phone hardware goes

:slap :slap

Jeez, what does your post have to do with a guy potentially losing his job?

That sucks, VS1976. :(

I would start discussions with your management at Sodexo and see if you can get transferred before the poo really hits the fan.

RIM is sucking it big time. It's too bad because I hate touchscreens and the Blackberry design is the best keyboard phone I know of.

Blackberry is also feeling the pain. They'll be letting 6,000 go.

Have a bunch of old university friends who work for RIM.

Man do I remember being jealous when they were getting all these insane jobs. Most started families and had massive weddings, and a chip on their shoulder that caused their heads to naturally orbit around it.

Likely be selling to Google or another competitor.

Interesting. I assume you use your tongue for a variety of normal related finger functions?
