Just watched Obama take the responsibility as the 44th PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

To all my fellow AMERICAN neighbours I want to wish all the best and I hope PRESIDENT OBAMA will Bring ALL OF US together as one world.

Yeah. Global Currency and tattoos on our foreheads. All that "one world" stuff sounds brilliant. :lol

Here we go, so long without a political thread.......

Why oh why did you start this thread?

So did he ride in on a donkey with people placing palms at his feet?

I don't know. I really hope Obama is a good president, but people are making him out to be the second coming. Freaks me out more than a little bit.

His job is to protect U.S. citizens and promote U.S. interests as the U.S. President not bring all of us together.

Ya, I think people are just so tired of Bush that they're just very eager to have someone knew that seems willing to make right the wrongs of the previous administration.

It was a good speech, realistic in goals, confident in delivery, the way the leader of a country should speak.

Now lets see if he makes good on his word. Lord knows his cabinet choices blow.

I don't think Bush gave a speech like that in his 8 years in office...or his 58 years!

"....when white will embrace what is right."
From a prayer just delivered at the inauguration.
Nice.

Watched it my class, history being made. Unfortunately I feel that we will be further divided before we are united.

I hope CNN runs it tonight. I saw parts of it online, but the sound kept cutting out.
