For a while now Sideshow has their own "Ask Sideshow" on their website. Questions posted there have a much greater chance of being answered than any posted here.
However this is just to ask questions of the production team of stuff you're curious about.

Here's the link to the form to ask your question of the production team:

https://www.sideshowtoy.com/php/asksideshow.php

If you have customer service questions about product or specific orders, DO NOT USE THAT FORM. Go through the established customer service channels, either email or phone.

Yup.

I been using that form for a while now.

Their response time is a bit slow though, about 2 to 3 weeks, but it does get answered.

Everybody needs to remember that this is not an official Sideshow site. Some of their staff members pop in every now and then as their busy schedules allow, but there is no guarantee that anyone from Sideshow will read your questions or comments when you post them here rather than communicate through official channels.

Many of the SSF regulars understand this, but now and then someone who is relatively new to the board will post a customer service question here and that will inevitably lead to frustration, since this is an independent fan site.

Yep, the production team will answer them when they get a chance, and that usually happens in batches, so there is usually some lag. Occasionally we will even solicit for questions about a certain topic. Always watch the newsletter for new answers!

But - AND THIS IS IMPORTANT - please DO NOT use the Ask Sideshow form for Customer Service questions, or anything that requires an immediate response. THE ONLY WAY TO GET AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IS TO CALL OUR OFFICE. Even the customer service request form can take up to 5 business days for a response, depending on the time of year and CS traffic. So be sure to have our phone numbers handy for collectible emergencies!

US: 1-800-474-3746
Outside US: 1-805-214-2100 extension 2

Non-emergencies, but need customer service or help with online account, etc: Customer Service Request Form - https://www.sideshowtoy.com/custserv/

And sometimes I will even answer questions on the boards, but again, it is not going to be immediate :) But we do like to make ourselves available in every way possible :duff

Right Dusty - I edited the original post. It didn't even occur to me that people might use it for customer service inquiries.

Thanks Dave... and you'd be surprised at the types of questions that get submitted through the form... or maybe you wouldn't :lol

And sorry for the long drought of Ask Sideshow answers... they Development Team has the latest batch and we'll be posting some more soon! :duff

Thanks Dave, this will come in very handy. :)

May I ask how soon they usually respond?

How come I can't access the website for sideshow on any of my computers? Is it offline now?

This is what I get.
Address Not Found
Firefox can't find the server at www.sideshowtoy.com.
The browser could not find the host server for the provided address

OK, I figured it out, and this may keep lots of people from being able to see your website as well. Spybot Search and Destroy apparently adds sideshowtoy.com to its host file in order to block it once you immunize the browsers. So you may want to inform Soybot Search and Destroy sideshowtoy.com is not a malicious website. Just FYI, I had to go into the host file and delete your website from the file and then I had access.

Hi guys! We've changed the format of our Ask Sideshow Q&As so that now every question can be linked to individually, plus the database of Q&As can be searched easier to find past answers to questions you may have! AND you can rate each one from 1 to 5 stars! We hope this helps make the Ask Sideshow section a little easier to navigate. We also hope that it will cut down on all the repeat questions!

All of the most recent questions will be posted on the new Ask Sideshow homepage: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/?cat=195

The new link for the submission form is: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/?cat=195&ask=y#askquestion

Please use this form from now on!! Dave, can you update the link in your first post in this thread? Thanks!

There seems to be a glitch in the system Dusty, I just tried to ask a question, and it won't take, an error always pops up saying I didn't enter my name and email.........yet I did

Hm, I can't replicate it from any of my machines - every time I enter it just says "Thank you. Your question has been submitted"... anyone else having this problem?

I like to new system, quite easy to navigate. Now if only we could get SS to start posting some half decent questions concerning the LOTR licence. The Hobbit-related question/answer posted today was absolutely brutal. The individual asks a question about a potential SS Hobbit licence and the answer he/she gets is that SS is looking forward to the movie. Did I miss something? Why bother posting a question you don't answer?
The "quality" of LOTR-related questions/answers of late has been poor at best. And I am looking forward to the day when SS finally starts addressing some our concerns such as the lack of new pre-orders, the future of the LSB line, why no Gimli representations after 4+ years, etc....
