alrighty guys ....Im reaching out ...
which is tough for me to do. ...as Im an artistic person and thrive off of creating something original and unique...... and my own ...

me and the wife are going thru baby names (she is half way now) and I since ive been discovering (in my creative director studies) that not only necessarily a creative person is the only person to realize a creative idea, I want your input on a lil girl's name.....

to give you influence to what I like, i really love hellboy and Mignola influenced ideas.
Victorian names. Mythological names. and generally creative names.

but they must fall off the tongue and the first and middle should flow as one.

Right now Ive worked on ... (keep in mind the wife is currently hung up on "Alex". Not a must but ... well ... you know ..)

- Pandora Milan
- Ember Minerva

I have all of the Monty knights(loose), a marge & Homer Simpson bust (sealed/new), a Pamela Vorhees Excl (sealed/new) & an InvisibleMan 1:6Excl (sealed/new) to offer....

Best of luck-- it's worse if you're a teacher as you associate almost every name with a certain child and that's not a good thing-- and the double-whamo of your wife being a teacher too, and well... names go bye bye very quickly.

oh man. one of the things Ive had to point out repeatedly is how mere association could ruin a VERY good name.
I must say, being a teacher has probably thinned your options considerably. ..

My wife and I went through the same thing (as most parents have) and after much thought I found the following:
Try to combine a name ending in a vowel with a middle name ending in a consonant. (Or vice versa)
One longer name, one shorter, also helps the roll off the tongue thingy.
Names like Ophelia are sure to get her picked on.


Please keep in mind they have to write their names in Kindergarten so really long first names that cannot be shortened is a little mean.

(Once your daughter starts speaking, you'll understand the God help you part. I love my daughter but in 5 years she has doubled my gray hair and I still have puberty ahead.)

Pandora wouldn't be a good name, I keep thinking of Pandora's Box and that's not a good association. Plus it would give your daughter hell.

Funny, right before I read Agent0028's answer I was thinking - "teacher" "Shakespeare" -MIRANDA! From The Tempest, one of my favorite Shakespeare plays.

I've always been partial to the name Jessica, but I think that's because the first nude woman I saw on screen was Jennie Agutter in Logan's Run whose character name was Jessica.
