OK my earliest sexual fantasy (which I didn't know what it was at the time:wacky) was of Julie Newmar's Catwoman. Now I see Ada (on eBay) has done a head. It look pretty good, but a little "manly" :lol. Wanted to see what you guys thought of it and if you would think that with 1960's styled groovy paint, it would bring out the character.

I like it, I think it definitely captures her look and I think with a talented painter it would really be awesome.

Not a criticism, because I think it looks great - but to me, it kind of looks more like Lee Meriweather.

looks great....I think with a great painter the likeness would come out.

I went to ebay and don't see this one but saw Bill Cosby,Gil Grissim(csi),Harold Ramis(ghost busters).

Hey Dwing, if you buy a sculpt from Ada, she'll add you to her mailing list of newer sculpts that she's made which are not yet listed on ebay.

I have 2 of her Lee Majors heads. One was painted by her and the other left unpainted. The painted head doesn't look much like Lee Majors but the unpainted sculpt has a decent likeness, I'd say atleast 80% (face is just a bit thin).

That being said, her Ramis Sculpt looks spot on and she has a great Eastwood (Josie Wales) sculpt available too.

I went out on a bit of a limb today...hope I can still buy from her....

I got in only one of the two Catwoman heads I ordered (which I like by the way, and do think looks like Newmar, but with Meriwether accents for sure...), and when I emailed her about the other one, she politely said she'd send the other one out this week...all good so far...and so I took the opportunity to take a comment to her...

I kindly, suggested that she omit the details of the irises from her headsculpts.
I hope she still sells me heads! :lol I was nice about it, and framed it only as an artist to artist suggestion, so we'll see if she has a sense of humor or takes it the wrong way. I did mention that I knew that others were less than happy with this detail being sculpted, and that she might benefit financially from the ommission, so we'll see.
I'll let you know if she cusses me out, doesn't respond, or has a better response...as I know it.... :D

I did by the J.Biel sculpt(I'll post craping pictures later in customs thread) so I'll email her to be added. Maybe she will do a King from blade 3 for us. you are right that the unpainted looks good but the painted one looses the likeness although the paint aps looks good.

FYI, heard back from her, and she said she'd stop adding in the iris details. Seemed ok with it. Now, to see if she actually leaves it out. But, at least she responded. Sure didn't have to. Just thought you guys would want to know.

dwing, how is that JBiel sculpt? I want one pretty badly. Did you get the bald one, or the one with hair?

Cool, glad to hear she's open to feedback... and you'd figure leaving out the iris would be one less step for her anyway.

Weird. I am not a big fan of it from dead on, but the side profile looks very good and if given great care in paint apps, could make it almost lifelike...

Looks great to me........My only criticism would be that I would prefer a sculpture without the IRIS outline in the eyes, I kinda like the freedom to paint the eyes to look in any direction.
