A group shot of last year's Jedi figures...

What do you all think?

I think that's great. I love these images that people are making of their figures

I would have arranged them different though, in film order... so Qui-gon first.... and ending with Jedi Luke last, but thats just me, lol

Very cool pictures! I like that the Anakin one seems darker than the rest, but also ties in nicely with the Obi-Wan next to him!

Thanks for the compliments, folks....
(El Roranous...I was going for the formal "catalogue" image here so I chose not to "light up" the sabers....also, I'll admit I haven't had much luck yet getting that to look good as some other folks who post here regularly who are more adept with photoshop, like our resident expert Maulfan, for example...any advise, there Maulfan? )

Here's a vertical orientation of the same piece...
(this one might work better as a desktop...letting you enjoy the figures w/o having them covered up by desktop icons & shortcuts)

Thanks & enjoy!

JB, it all depends on the resolution you're working with, I have to vary my settings from project to project, if you have some resolutions you could throw out I could throw out some tips.

I usually stick w/ 72 dpi for the stuff I post here. Thoughts?

I use 4 layers to make my blades. I use the select tools to shape the white part of the blade then use that selection repeatedly.

From top to bottom

1) Solid white blade layer
2) Use the selection shape of layer 1 and expand it by a few pixels with a feather of a few pixels and fill with a shade of white that has the saber color mixed in it a little
3) Use the selection shape of layer 1 and expand it by about twice as much as you did layer 2, feather by an ammount about half as much as you expanded, fill in with solid color of the saber then change the layer mode to Screen
4) Use the selection shape of layer 1 and expand it by twice the ammount you expanded layer 3 by, feather again by half of how much you expanded, fill the layer with solid saber color, change the layer mode to Screen.
