Since he is always crap in the game im trying to go for the wet nasty water look!

Looks good so far! And best advice I can give to sell the blood factor... mix red and black to get a dark red, add water to make it really watery and soak it into the cloth. It really sells the realism of the wound and makes it look ten times better. After that if you want it to look like a hardcore oozing wound you can add more paint, less watered down and put glosscoat onto that to seal it. Makes it look still wet. :rock

Also for the dirty look, use watered down brownish black and soak whatever spots you want to look filthy and don't worry... it dries lighter. Also get a used toothbrush, soak that in the watered down paint and run your thumb across the bristles to splatter the figure with various mud and grime. It adds that special touch. :D

So far the best I see that you've done is the bottoms of Snake's legs... really great looking.

Awesome! thanks for the input guys!!! Will do DA!!! i like doing this stuff!!:rock

It's awesome that you are doing it bro! I've seen your photo work, so I know you are artistic enough to tackle this stuff bro. I can only hope to teach you here and there and see if you start doing full on repaints and customs one day.

On a side note, this year you really should come to the FX con in Orlando with Les and I. He was just talking to me about it, saying you should meet up with us there or something. It would be cool as hell to hang out at the con and maybe share some techniques or something with you to help get you going. :rock

does he look like his been in a swap recently?

That looks really good p!tu. As soon as I work up the nerve I'd like to do some weathering to my Medi Boba.

YEah! its kind of hard to work up the nerve but once you do its fun! and you can only get better! I say! try it on a crappier figure first!

That's exactly how I started painting sculpts. I started with a Hasbro Han then worked up to my Medi Wolverine. It's much easier looking at your work and thinking "man, I really screwed that up" when it's a $10 figure and not a $100 one.:lol
