I'll have to see her face and from the other side before I make my choice. I don't like how she is almost looking away from him.. unless she's aiming for his claw????

yeah, I think the pillar is more like 10" after looking at this shot. I don't have a ruler in any of my shots of the sculpt.
I think the proto turned out great! I can't wait to see more shots. really nice paint!!!
Trev
But this line has yet to reach the heights set by the initial piece, methinks...
Looks very cool, but I think the pillar is a tad too dark.
Totally agree with you, to an extent. I think SSC has painted this piece very nicely, but I think it doesn't quite feel right persay because of the lighting context. The photo is in white light, while Geonosis was done with a heavy orange glow.

CONGRATS ON THE THIRTY K, YOU MAD MAD MAD AWESOME JOSH YOU!
in the Obi-Wan vs. Anakin piece, we had both the moment, and the characters, and the perfect amount of environment to base them on. You can definitely say that the following pieces had the characters, but not the environments -- and any diorama line has to offer both. (Even if I do love the Geonosis Hangar base on the Dookurama, I did expect the Solar Sailer to be featured there, too.)
So to truncate the Geonosis pillar to half its height here, just because it adds nothing to the literal point of the scene, is to commit the same sin as with the Frodo vs. Gollum -- suddenly you lose all sense of peril, and consequently the heroics and the drama of the piece. It's not fatal to the representation of the moment, perhaps, but it's fatal to the implications of the scene.
Josh you're insane!...but I agree!
