calling all painters.. can you guys help me finish him off? I can not get the correct tone color on his face. I have been using a raw sienna, burnt sienna, flesh tone, light portrait pink but still no luck.
This is what I currently have. This is my first paint attend ever and its not easy, but I do enjoy the process.

I have also put a copy of a picture for reference on how I would like him to turn out which I got from the side. Its a great color referance picture and I thank the owner.

Below is the link for my thread with pictures.

are you painting luke or the emperor or whatever his name is?
for luke try this:
medium flesh for the basetone, do you nostrils and dark points with burnt sienna then use raw sienna in the facial crevices while its still wet for blending. the mix some raw sienna with medium flesh for the shadow/ dark areas and then use ivory with a horsehair/ dry brush for your hightones for optimal blending.

if its the emperor try this:
most crap/hobby stores sell a colour called santas flesh. its sorta like a very pale flesh meant to not overly contrast with his beard and stuff. use the same combos for the rest but omit the medium flesh in favour of the santas flesh. try maybe a little purple mixed in with the flesh tone after for eye bags.
use a colour called raspberry for lips and while its wet finger rub a little ivory over the high points.
good luck

I couldn't improve on what pjunk said. But I will add that I like to paint the lips before doing any drybrushing as I like the way it blends them.

My painting improved with with some Red Iron Oxide, but is not perfect yet. Ill post some pics. I also need some advice on the hair.

Boot25 I know Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna,Titanium White are used for flesh but why do you use Raw Umber, Blue or green.

Blue or green sounds strange, but they are in fact a naturally occuring tint in caucasian flesh. The secret is you want to add just a touch of blue or green to "cool" down a reddish skin tone.

cool.. those are nice points I think you can also use rust red to replace raw umber. Im going to give it another shot today..

The other tip I can offer is to get your self some quality lighting. I use a couple of Ott Lamps. They have full spectrum bulbs this will let you see the actual tint of your flesh tone. Other lighting such as quartz, flourescent give you a false interpertation of colors.
