The great Patrick McGoohan died yesterday at age 80.

I've always felt The Prisoner is one of the best television shows of all time. A couple weeks ago AMC.com put all 17 episodes up for free.

Just heard this on the radio and came to report, he was a cool guy, I used to love Daner Man as a kid as well, he oft hinted it was the same character he played in this and The Prisoner.

An actor with true gravitas. :monkey2

(as a descendant of Longshank I really enjoyed how he villied my ancestors :lol)

:lecture I love all the episodes of Columbo that he starred in too.

Still the best opening to any show.

Patrick McGoohan-RIP

it is rather awful for me to bring this news to the forums...that is ofcourse if it hasn't been done already lol :S
but we have heard that Patrick McGoohan, one of the greatest creative genius' in TV history of all time, has sadly passed away at the admirable age of 80. I can't really describe how this news shocked me when I found out because he has influenced my interests for nearly as long as I can remember and so his death is extremely tragic in my mind.
He died sadly following a short illness.
He shall miss two separate Prisoner remake projects in both TV and film rather sadly....but knowing his nature, I doubt he was really interested lol
Fortunately his impact on Modern Science Fiction and many aspects of TV in general will make him unforgettable.

anyway, join me if you will in bidding farewell to a man whose like shall never come again.

at the risk of it seeming cliche, Be Seeing you Patrick McGoohan.

R.I.P. , He'll be missed. I have never actually watched anything with him in , I'm probably to young to know about him but a few of my family members sure do. They barely used to watch tv apparently too so he must of been good to have been remembered so well .

used to watch the prisoner with my dad on video when i was young, he was a big fan. i had no idea what was going on but it was an interesting watch, me and my brother used to laugh alot about n01 and n02 aswell :lol simple minds i suppose :dunno ahh the childhood memories.

R.I.P patrick :rock:rock
