Hey guys had a deal with a guy from montreal for a wolverine statue for $620 shipped for the ex with a small nick on the ex face, payment was to be two payments of $310 US, made the first, but after I decided to cancel the chip was just bothering me to much the statue hasent shipped yet and I havent made the second payment yet, but the seller is not willing to refund, Im planning on doing a dispute would I possible get screwed ? I thought it would be just simple refund and thats it!

Did you know the chip was there before first payment?

I don't know how you can dispute it. You agree to pay him, chip and all. You might have to just finish the deal.

I think it's bad form to flake out after an agreement was made where both parties fully understood what was what. But I have no ideal how Paypal would deal with buyer's remorse.

PayPal will probably refund your money if you dispute it but as the others have said, if the deal was struck with knowledge of the chip then it is bad form to back out.

But at the end of the day it's your money and if you want a mint one then that is your right.

I would suck it up and buy the piece. I have bought used pieces and sold pieces with minor flaws and been very honest when a piece isn't 100% mint. As long as the seller is honest, which he was, you won't have a claim nor should you cause him the headache. If you knew about the chip then it really isn't cool to cancel just because of buyers remorse :) good luck though.

If they mentioned the chip then and you paid, you might need to finish the payment. Unless it was written by the seller that he accepts cancellations.

I saw on another ABJD forum, that someone tried to flake out from a purchase , but they've paid a 200$ deposit. When they tried to cancel the purchased, the seller pointed out that it was written on the sale page that it was non refundable. Buyer had to finish paying or else risk loosing the 200$ she already put in.

You can always call Paypal before you attempt to file a claim. Good luck :(

Thanks please close thread, Paypal agreed in my favor as it wasn't sent and I only sent one payment of the two, if both were sent then they couldn't help! Thanks guys for some insight!
