Yea that’s a good point. They do tend to make quite a few variants.

Oh man I hope the headsculpt has a good likeness to Crowe. If this goes well, I’m going to need them to do Leonidas and Achilles.

I wonder if the mask is removable, or has a Russel Crowe switch-out. I tend to think the reason we never got that BCS figure was because of likeness approval.

I know we got a Crowe likeness for Jor-El, but I bet that was part of the contract.

I'm sure the Colusiem is just on the back but from that angle he looks like a kaiju standing in a Colisieum.

Really hope it has an swap out unmasked headsculpt. Lips are looking a little pursed, but otherwise you can tell that's Crowe, at least in the eyes.

I would’ve preferred mixed media at least for the blue under tunic.

Mixed is always best, but real cloth would then likely also require real chainmail over the top, which is more acheivable at 1:3 but still never an enviable task for the poor SOBs that have to link it- and it certainly wouldn't be cheap.

Most likely true, but if CooModel and HAOYUTOYS can do it with their 1/6 figures, I would think it would be fine at 1/3 scale and probably not as expensive as the smaller scale to do. Speaking on price, this statue will more than likely already be over $1k so I guess I wouldn’t mind an extra cost at that point to get that much more realism at this scale. If their sculpted texturing was as good as JND’s I probably wouldn’t care as much

All that said, I’m looking forward to the full reveal of this statue. Pretty much all 1/6 Maximus figures still haven’t done it for me though Pangaea came real close.
