I have the Acura if you couldnt guess. ContradictionWear.com

This happens to me ALL the time! I can park out in a parking lot with no one beside me and come out and there's to SUVs parked on either side of me. My poor car has so many scuffs and dings.

Honey, IMO, you should block out your license plate.

I also hate when people do this. Especially that...how the hell are you supposed to get back in your car?? I'd go out of my way to key the passenger side of their door just for being stupid.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about this happening as much anymore though. I usually park up front as much as possible:

:lecture, just had to do one a few weeks ago after getting off of work. some people think because they have a bigger car they can park however the hell they want. hope they liked the 4 ft key line on their door when they got back. :)

PLEASE tell me you have a hang tag for that spot.

Nice STI!!

well these people piss me off.last year l was at a mall and a guy parked like that and l couldnt get in the drivers side because of that idiot,so l had to get in the passenger side and crawl in the drivers side so when l backed out l put my arm out the window and used my spare key and keyed the hell out of the side of his truck as l was backing strait out.serves him right, hell think twice before doing that again.

Yes, vandalism is always the answer to a minor inconvenience. Good job.

I see you have been keyed before for parking like an a-hole :lol

you learned your lesson after that one though didnt you? Point proven. :yess:

douche. i hate when people do that!

the place where i live... the first day of moving in, i drove back in the evening and parked. the only spot available was barely a spot, i had to park over the line to get in it because the a**hole truck to the left of me parked crooked like an idiot. little did i know... when i got up in the morning, there was a lovely neon orange sticker stuck to the driver's window saying that i got a warning for parking over the lines (double parked), and the next time it happens, my car will be towed. the ********* truck was long gone, so i'm sure they got nothing. every time i see that truck, they are parked badly... in a freaking compact spot!! and nothing ever happens. why does the world work like that??? i hate that truck. i've seriously considered keying their car, just out of spite...

what pisses me off the most is when people drive "nice" cars and literally take 2 parking spaces. probably do this to avoid being hit by other cars doors when opened...i dont know! :dunno

yes that is sometime the case, last year l was driving a very nice 1970 el camino and l did park a tad side ways in stalls and took up two so no ones doors would hit my car,but l just usually parked at the far end of parking lots were there were not many cars in the first place that way you dont piss anyone off.

It is too bad that this is such a common aspect of "life in the big city". But this is a product of packing too many people in to too small a space.

And as we have already seen in this thread, it adds to other negative aspects of our characters as well.

As far as blocking license plate numbers on internet forums, I see it done a lot but I do not really understand it as those plates are completely public 24/7 outside of when the vehicle may be in a garage.

I *never* key a car for this, no matter how douchey it might be. I open the door as fast and hard as I can, multiple times if needed, to get into my vehicle and drive away. It's not vandalism because I'm just trying to get into my vehicle, it leaves a *much* bigger mark on the offender's vehicle, and most importantly, it teaches the offender precisely why they shouldn't park like an a-hole.

Ditto. Somebody did that to me once and luckily I had a kind of cruddy truck at the time so I just slammed my door against his and push it really hard as I climbed into my car. There was a lady in the reastraunt in front of me watching and laughing.

The best I've seen was a guy who bought a brand new $20k Harley and thought it was ok to park in the cross-hatches by/between handicap accessible spots. Well there was a van parked next to him and as the guy in the wheelchair came out of the store, he activated the van's automatic doors and ramp. It dropped down right on top of the bike, knocking it over and tearing the crap out of the chrome and paint.
Now that a$$hat got what he deserved!! I HATE it when able-bodied people take handicap accessible spots!!

I have a Nissan Titan and I always park in the back of the parking lot...or as close as I can where there aren't a lot of cars because I do not want to cramp anyone in....I have to walk further but exercise is always a good thing and I don't want to prevent people from getting in their vehicles...and I avoid door dings.

I chose a larger vehicle so walking a little further is the price I pay and I wish everyone with trucks/large SUV's did this. I hate the person that blocks people in rather than park 4 parking spots over.....laziness.
