I have the People's Picks complete! Come see who the readers voted for Best Collectibles of 2015 - there's a few surprises:

Here is the People's Picks for Best Pop Culture Collectibles of 2015!

I should have the Poppies ready for Sunday night, and there is going to be some interesting discussion. I'm not through tallying yet, but I've already hit two categories where I suspect the judges did a better job than the people - or me - and one where it was a HUGE surprise.

Well I'm glad BD Robocop won best male 1:6. None of my other personal first choices won but there were a few second and third placers.

Pretty much ended up how I voted. Thanks for doing this Michael, year in and year out. Looking back at 2008-2009 (when I started collecting) really shows how far this hobby has come.

I think Hermione should have won over yet another Black Widow that sort of looks like Scarlett Johansson. But other than that, great results for another great year. :clap

Great as usual.

Btw - you reference the best statue 2nd place as Batman Returns ....I actually thought I'd completely missed it for a sec! :)

Absolutely. The Black Widow figures are winning by extreme Hot Toys Newb bias and no other reason. They could hardly be more generic than they are. Scarlett Johansson is nowhere to be seen.

I've seen ****-all complaints about the Robocop/Murphy set but plenty about the Darth Vader set. I'm glad people recognised how rare a thing that Robocop figure is compared to how relatively common Darth Vader is going to be.

The first Robo set was pretty well perfect apart form the silver paint. The BD one though... two perfect sculpts, and the battle damage and scarring pretty well covering the still slightly silver paint. :lol It's as worthy a winner as there's ever been.

Agreed. I would have voted for Robocop last year except for the damn paint. It was too major a ****-up to my eyes, a basic and fundamental thing to get wrong. But the sculpt was amazing.

HT Vader the second best figure, despite its stupid sound feature design, awful gloves treatment and terribly designed belt. Not bad going for 300 bucks.

Not to mention four different mouth plates. Scene-specific ones to boot!
