PF Hulk vs Jabba The Hut...

I wasn't sure if I should put this in the Marvel thread or in the Star Wars thread so I put it here....

I have had this Hulk set as my desktop image for about a month now and I just cant get enough of it!!! Its stunning, I just keep rotating between images of the Hulk from SS homepage. Its stunning. My only prob is that there is no way in hell can afford or do I have room for both this and Jabba. I'm torn. I dont know what to do.


Jabba or PF Hulk?!?!?!!?

Why do I have to have such hard choices to make in life?!?!?

For those who were at SDCC and actually saw both of these, in your most unbias opinion(SW freaks & Hulk freaks) which one was more impressive.

I know the whole "what ever you want most" thing can be said for a quick answer, but I not really asking what you guys think I should get. What I'm asking is which one looked more impressive and worth the price.

Thats what I'm leaning towards. But Jabba will compliment my 12" SW collection so nicely, and Hulk will be my only PF Marvel.

What do you guys think will be more expensive and harder to come by down thw road????

I would go with Jabba and the throne! I think (I might be wrong) but you can get the Hulk for a lot less off a retailer or even evilbay. Unless of course, you don't want the throne and just Jabba. Then I'd go with the Hulk and get Jabba from a retailer.

No, I have Jabba and the throne on pre-order. I dont think you can have one without the other. Do you think the throne will be much harder to come by later??

That's hard to say.....but it is an exclusive. And I am not sure if you know but almost all the exclusives, regardless of how great they are, go pretty steep on ebay and anywhere else.

Yeah I'm a little worried that the throne will go through the roof later down the road. i gont know the edition size, so its hard to say just how many are gonna be out there. But I know there are only 1,000 Hulk, and thats not alot!

Well I ordered the throne and jabba for the aforementioned reason. Check out Adam at Darkshadows, he usually has some great deals (the hulk is going for almost $60 less).

I would go with Jabba. That thing stole the show for me. I feel bad now because I would have loved to look closer at some figures like Maul and others. The Hulk is HUGE though. If he is your only Marvel PF, but you have the 12" Star Wars line, I'd go with Jabba. The whole Jabba set up is just amazing. I feel you get much more bang for your buck with the 12" line than the PF. The PF to me have always been statues with clothes on. You can't really have any say in their posing, which is why the 12" line is so cool. Of course you can get a bit more detail in 1/4 scale.

Either way I think you'll be happy with either. Andy and Brian did amazing jobs on both of these pieces.

Consider this though -- once you have the Hulk PF, you'll want more Marvel PFs and it will start your slippery slide into poverty. If you already have the SW 12" started, it's less of a risk.

I would go with the Hulk, but I don't collect the 12" lines. You seem to be a rather avid SW 12" guy, and Jabba is the ultimate in that regard. Sure the Hulk is impressive, but will it be out of place in your collection?

If you are thinking about which would be worth more down the road, then get the hulk. But if you want which one will probably be a hell of a lot more fun than get Jabba. Jabba has assessories and other figures to pose around him, while Hulk is just the hulk. (but a nice hulk it is).

I'm more of a Star Wars fan, so a 1/6 Jabba to display with the other awesome figures from Sideshow is more interesting than the Hulk. However, I'm actually on the fence about canceling the Jabba since he takes up so damn much room!

I feel your pain. I will most likely be in the same boat come this winter when these start shipping. If one's getting cancelled there's no doubt it'll be the PF Hulk. My problem is I have the Gray on order. I don't have much Marvel (only the 2 big VS dios) and I'm a huge SW fan so I'd never even consider getting rid of Jabba. But I really don't want to give up such a great looking piece in the Hulk PF either. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a purely objective standpoint, I must tell you to get Jabba. Seriously.

I know that the Hulk PF is outstanding, a real work of beauty. But, it will not compliment the bulk of your collecton. If you don't go with Jabba, you'll regret it later. In fact, you may begin to resent The Hulk for it. And resentment leads to neglect, and neglect leads to fear, and fear leads to anger, which leads to hate, and ...



Sorry. Yeah. Just get Jabba. You'll be glad for it.

Well, I'm still on the fence. But I think now I am leaning towards Jabba. like Dave said, I dont want to get my self started on a whole new line. Which is likely to happen if i pick up the Hulk. And I fear that the throne may get very expensive once shipped and I'll have th go the route of evilbay to pick it up. I'm still undecided at this point, but I may have to hunt Hulk down some time next year when the money is right. Thanks everyone for posting your thoughts.
