Hey:

I stopped by the NY Comicon today for a few hours and took some pics. Enjoy.

BTW, that's me with Batman :)

I saw brooke lopez from the New Jersey Nets there on Friday. Tall ass dude.

OP, tell me/us more about the NY comic con experience. How crowded was it? How much were the tickets? Best panel? Line waits?

I'm wondering if I want to go next year combined with a family visit back east.

NYCC imo is 'okay', nothing spectacular. I havent been to SDCC yet and I know this pales in comparison. Tickets were $50 for the weekend pass.

As far as how crowded it was, Friday was pretty good to walk around. All the aisles had enough room to walk although not many cosplayers were present. Saturday was probably twice as crowded as Friday was and the cosplayers came out to play. Still though, even with the crowd, you could still get to where you wanted to go without any real problems. only when people stop and bunch up around the booths is when you get traffic jams.

As far as panels, i didnt see anything that interested me so I avoided that completely. I guess im not as hardcore as some to spend time in line waiting to watch panels.

For me, I didnt expect much from NYCC, but I went to see some new upcoming stuff in person and just see what it was about. I think if they get some of the bigger companies and names in the industry to NYCC, it will definitely be more worthwhile to those out of state.

Thanks Nash. I may try and work it out next year. I'm thinking NYCC will get bigger and bigger, and may be better/more convenient than SDCC. I'm also thinking SS will soon have a presence at NYCC.

from what ive heard, it does indeed get bigger every year. I think if youre in the area you should definitely stop by. Im so nearby i couldnt help but to go and check it out.

One day tickets for Friday and sunday were $30, and saturday $40. like i said the weekend was $50. not bad.
