This is fantastic and everything, and I will gladly pick them all up, but the gaps between these "retro/classics" is way too big. I don't like the idea of them jumping to live action figures just yet...there's still SO much to do with the 80s animated series first.

Yeah, they announced this being part of Series 3, while Rocksteady and Bebop are Series 2. So they are clubbing the animated series and movies in the same classic line. Shredder will likely be further down the line then.

This is great news.
I'm in for these. It means that Playmates are selecting eras to draw classic figures from. This will generate a fairly nice collection.
I do like the first set of classics, and although not popular, I'm looking forward to Rocksteady and Bebop.
