Please Create a Rewards Scheme for International Customers

So i just sent this to Sideshow via the "Ask Sideshow" Section....

Could you please implement a Shipping Rewards Scheme for international customers.

As it stands US customers get free shipping on certain items and pay only for shipping cost, where as non-US customers have to pay the item's cost, shipping and import and duties as well, (I do understand this is not SSC's responsibility and that free shipping wouldn't be feesable, although i suppose it could on certain items)

So how about a loyalty scheme that adds "shipping reduction points" only for international customers which adds points so that the more orders you have open or the higher cost of each order adds to the points which can be redeemed to lessen the sting of international shipping costs, or simply have International customers receive more Reward points per order than US to help with the overall cost of ordering your fine products.

Although i would love to see a scheme like this implemented, it still works out cheaper for me with shipping and customs charge to order direct from SS. Have you seen the prices Forbiden Planet in London charge for some of there SS pieces. £300 for the X-Force Diorama, £269 for the Spiderman LSB and £450 for the Hulk comiquette. Admitedly they are more cheaper on their website but those in store prices ar shocking.

Our international shipping rates have been generously discounted for over a year now. The rate to send an item to Australia and into Europe is almost at 40% of what it originally was and close to comparable to shipping from coast to coast stateside.

Unfortunately, you voted your politicians in so the import fees you'll have to deal with. We ant help you there!

I didn't vote my politicians in. I think it was only about 30% of the electorate who did (the rest of us, who have sense, voting for the other guys). And now they are ripping everything to shreds and helping out their rich best mates. Yay for democracy. Anyway, I don't think SS can do much about that. So, back to topic.

I've got a wad of gift cards laying about now, I used one for a VCD, but it's not easy to find stuff you can use them on. And is it me, or can you not use a gift card for a flex pay item? I looked at Agent 47, saw that it was g/c eligible, but when I went to flex it, it wasn't. Could you not change the rules? I reckon most of the G/C you send out never get used and just expire, thus costing you nothing. Sometihng we could accrue would be nice.

Anyway, that said, SS INTL shipping is actually a bargain, compared to other sites, and I don't have a problem with it. Hence being disappointed when SS didn't have the reg Dagon for sale, so that I could flex it and get their shipping, meaning the only option is an up front lump sum and 50% product price shipping cost on top.

I don't know why, but there was something reassuring about having the EU warehouse.
