Please Help (Recast Question)

I posted this on the ask sideshow forum but figured I would also post here to get community feedback.

I have been expanding my collection and buying some high end items. I have been reading on the forums and apparently tons and tons of items from Weta and Sideshow have been recast by sellers in China; who have also figured out how to make the color and shipping boxes. There is a seller right now on ebay selling high end recasts from china...

Is there is a post or archive where I can see the differences between some of the high end real and fake items or a list of sellers to look out for? I want to make sure I don't buy a fake as that would hurt badly on a high value item!

Most guys seem to avoid buying heavily recast items, even the original official version from what I've read
