( Excuse the thread, I'm a city boy and rare encounters with the wildlife excite me. :monkey5 )

Whoever said these beatches grow no more than 20 inches was on crack. This one was over 2 feet and right by the front door of my ex-girlfriends place. My son was staring at something in the grass along with the two cats and we were able to take pics right before the snake disappeared under the bermuda grass. These things are not aggressive but will strike if manhandled.

They are very poisonous and native in Texas, same relative family as the cobra.

I thought it was kinda cool. :monkey3

Yeah thanks. Good thing he knows not to get near any kind of snake although I wouldn't mind the cats getting near it. Especially the one cat that loves to urinate on a specific corner of the house. :monkey3

I knew something was up when my son was quiet staring off into the grass. It took me back to my high school stoner days. :monkey5
