POLL: Time for an INDIANA JONES Section?

Yes...It's true...I just can't hold back my excitement. With the announcement of the Sideshow License for 1/6, 1/4 PF and 1/1 busts from all 4 Indiana Jones films (not to mention Hasblow's 3 and 3/4 line, and various other marketing/collectible tie-ins)...is it not time for INDY to get his own section along with STAR WARS, LORD OF THE RINGS, et al? BEFORE the products start flooding the marketplace...gives us a place to discuss, and hope and dream! Methinks YES! So VOTE!

I love Indy, and would love it if the amount of Indy offerings were to justify a forum section.

But we're getting just a few 1:1 busts, PFs and 12" figs, and probably not more than a few every couple of months. Except around the release time of the 2008 movie. It's a smaller range of products than even the current Sideshow LOTR license, and you know how slow things usually are around those parts.

Maybe if a few more high-end collectible companies jump on the bandwagon in the coming months... Let's just make this up as we go, okay?

Maybe not an actuall Indey section, but there could be a sligfhtly less general one. Similar to "Aliens and Robots". Although I don't know what it would be called.

Maybe 1980s action star section for:
Rambo
Rocky
Indiana
Conan
Highlander
etc.

While I would love it it there was actually enough Indy stuff out there to justify it's own section, the reality is that there isn't.

As much as I love Indy, I said no. If there's an Indy section there might as well be a POTC section. There's been far more product for those films.

As much as I lurv Indy, I have to agree that there isn't enough stuff out there (yet) to justify it. Also, the "Indy universe" just doesn't have the same scope as SW or LOTR (though I'm sure the fans could think of plenty to chat about).

I don't see Indy ever having his own section. As someone said, might as well have a PotC or HP forum too - there are just as many threads on those properties.

Well, PotC or HP aren't being produced by Sideshow. Indy will be getting 1:1 busts, Premium Format and 1/6 scale figures made by Sideshow, so I can see more of a need than with those other properties.

If these Indy lines pick up steam, I can see a lot of discussion happening. Still don't know if they need an entire section, though.

I don't know what you'd call this or how you'd definte the parameters of it, but if anything I'd like to see a section that combines In dy stuff with other roughly WWII-era content (both historical and fictional, like The Rocketeer). I mean, Indy needs villains to fight, right?

I'm not sure there will be enough Jones talk for a section on its own.

Early days yet, but maybe in time. Is there much happening in the LotR line? Might almost be time to close one down and open up another.

I guess it will happen if and when it needs to. On a serious note, if it is one for another, the military section is looking more precarious.
