I'm not sure if anybody started a thread on this (didn't see one) so I decided to start one myself.

Since it's apparent that we will not be getting any 1/4 scale figures from NECA, we might have to settle for Pop Culture Shock's upcoming 1/4 scale statue of General Ursus on horseback.

Here are some prototype pics:

If there won't be anymore 6" NECA apes I might have enough saved cash to pick this baby up.

Would look good next to my Sideshow 1/4 scale Dr. Zaius Premium Format statue.

I wonder how much this beastie is gonna set me back?

I definitely want to get this statue, but all I think about is the back legs breaking. All the weight on those back legs. Other statues like this have had issues in the past, and the Wolf Predator on one leg has similar issues. If PCS reinforced with metal inside the legs, or something similar, that'd be nice.

You have a good point, but if you look at the horses back legs/calve area you'll notice that the lower part of both legs are glued to rocks, and the bottom of the feet are also glued, if this huge statue was balanced and held into the base by only the bottom of the horses feet being glued to the base then there would be a huge concern, I doubt that this huge statue is going to be made of heavy weight material, probably going to be lightweight.

There was problems with the ringwraith rider PF where the horses legs were cracking at the base.

i hope you're right. Does anyone know the dimensions of the statue?

Gorgeous piece, but way above my budget, unfortunately. Nice to see this movie being revisited.
