Anyone care to venture a guess as to wether this will be in scale with SS's upcoming T800? I saw a pic of one next to Hot Toys T800 and they were fairly close, but the Popsulate one was a tad shorter.

Thanks!

I'm not sure, I have the Aoshima Endoskeleton at home, and in the picture on Crawford's site he seems to be a bit shorter... I can measure the height of the Endoskeleton when I get home and it might give you a clearer idea. The Arnold does seem like he might be a bit on the short side... but a pretty good sculpt!

Thanks, and yeah, I did see that review, it's what actually made me look into this one today (was looking thru a bunch of his old 1:6 reviews). I'm thinking of picking this one up since he's got a ton of accessories and a swappable head. I'm still planning on getting the SS one too but that's why I asked about scale since I'd like to set them up side by side. I know that SS's using the big boy body tho so it may be even more out of scale than with the HT one. Not sure how big that is next to other SS's tho.

I'm thinking he'll probably be a little small. I think the Big Boy body ends up being around 13" tall and I don't think the Popsalute figure is quite that size, but it is (currently) the nicest looking 1/6 Arnold. I had the HT version, but the damaged headsculpt did not look anywhere near as nice in person... I ended up selling him back on eBay after a few weeks :monkey2

He is definately a half inch shorter than your average sized SS figure ie; Connor or Anakin. So he will definately be much shorter than SS T 850. He is roughly the same scale as a Medicom figure. Hot Toys figures are in scale with SS.

You might be out of luck on this figure. I just did a search for Popsalute and it seems they are no longer on eBay, also their website listed in the reviews is gone as well. I guess you'll have to see if anyone on eBay has them for sale. Too bad, the price on them was pretty reasonable.

Oh, ok thanks, that's what I needed to know. Hmm..may pass then, we'll see.

I found some deals on ebay that I thought were pretty reasonable.

He's a little on the short side, but it's easy to swap his head and costume over to a taller Dragon figure (I think they're the American Football players). The neck is designed for a Dragon type neck joint, but you'll have to find a pair of Dragon hands that can substitute for the gloved hands the figure comes with, I don't think they're compatible.

The body is junk anyways so you'd want to swap it.
I agree, I switched mine over to a standard Dragon Neo body the day I received it, the joints on the original were too lose. I do remember it being very difficult to remove the Boots, so that'll be the only problem switching the body around.

Yes it fits fine, but he looks a bit short. I swapped mine over to some super articulated body I don't know who made it. I plan on swapping the outfit and head over to a Hot Toys body sometime.

Well, I've pretty much decided at this point to just wait for the SS version, which leads me to another question...

When SS says they're going to use the big boy body, does that mean it will be the 13" like the Kurgan? The Kurgan was listed as a 13" figure, while the T800 is listed as a 12" figure using the big boy body. What's the difference between the 2?

Just curious. I'm well on my way to becoming a full blown scale nazi and I want to try and find out what to expect. :monkey1

they can use different sized thighs or ankle extendors to increase a figure's height.

the T-800 does not need to be 13 inches. arnold is close to six foot tall, so a 12 inch (or 12 1/2 inch)figure will work fine.

That's actually what I'm hoping for. I really don't want him to tower over everyone since that's not really accurate. I'm just curious if the big boy body means 13 inches or an extended 12. Or if it has something to do with the bulky-ness of it.

look at sideshow's production blog header photo. the nude jason behind luke is the big boy body. if we assume that luke is on the short body, the big boy, with no ankle or leg extendors looks like it will be as tall as the regular sideshow body, just with bulkier arms, legs and chest.

That's exactly what I was wanting to see. Thanks, I'm still pretty new into the whole sixth scale thing so I'm not sure which SS ones are which when it comes to body sizes. Thanks again!!

that production blog is a good example of the sideshow body types.

you've got luke on the short body, which is just a shorter version of the regular body. the big boy body with the jason head and the headless tall body behind the big boy.

i think the tall body's height is deceptive in that photo. i think he's standing on dr. doom's throne base.
