Rule of thumb is if you have to post your email address in a forum, post it as an image, dont type it into a post. Make an image using paint or photoshop with the words as part of the picture and then upload the image. and post the image in a post !

Dont post

[email protected]

rather post a picture thats says

emailexample.jpg

I posted this post on another thread 2 months ago after a sculptor posted their email address on it. I even went as far as creating the image for him.

Hey m8 great work, (get that in first)

Noticed you typed your email address in a public page, Im told its not the safest way to post your address as they have bots that scour the web for these types of pages containing address's

Best bet if your posting your addy is post an image of the address as the bots cant read it

Taken the liberty of screen capping your post and doing you an image (image at bottom of post):

Its on my server atm but a right click and a save and you can stick it on yours (guessing you have one)

Regards

Jase

You are right, my friend! I should be more cautious. I'm afraid the cat is out of the bag already. :(

I assume that is what happened with the Russian Spammers. They are still using 2 of my email addresses as the return address on their SPAM. Lot's of lonely Russian women looking for, uh, "friends" and cheap replica Rolex watches, apparently. I should have known better than to be so careless with my addresses!!

Great advice, I've been lying awake at night worrying about these Russian spammers ever since I heard about them ruining Chris Howe's life.

thundernuts9888888[AT]hotmail.com / thundernuts9888888 AT hotmail.com usually gets used as well instead of going to any effort of making an image.
