I think Jim Lee draws the best females.

I'll take Ed Bends but it also depends on the character. I think Lee draws the best Catwoman, Huntress, Harley and Poison Ivy, Amanda Conner does the best Power Girl, Michael Turner is the best Supergirl and Bends does the best Wonder Woman. Terry Dodson's WW would be 1A.

Lee is a lot busier than all of those guys and I still think he does a better job. When Lee puts some time into drawing a female those guys are no competition. Everyone has their own taste I guess. I also love the way John Byrne drew females, so what do I know.

Michael Turner was a prince of a guy too. I had a chance to chat with him at the hight of his Superman and Batman run. Honestly, we chatted for a good 20-30 minutes because the lights in the convention center went out because of a lightening strike. He was suppose to be leaving for a signing but the call we we're in was lit and the hallways weren't lol. I actually felt sucker punched when I heard the news of his passing.

As for who came first, Turner was definetly after Campbell. Campbell was the FIRST and I think only winner of the Homage Studios (Jim Lees and Portacios Studio) talent search back when Image first started (I thnk he was 17 or 18 years old), and Turner was hired some time later to be a background artist for Marc Silvestri before Marc gave him WitchBlade.

Yeah you're totally right. A friend of mine actually has a signed copy of an art book he did. Wonderful guy for sure.

Man i wish. I loved the way he drew women. Attractive yet strong. I love how Campbell draws them, but they always look like pretty, dainty, girls

yea Turner's art is fantastic! I've got an older friend who owns 1 original Supergirl art from him and is giving it to the owner of my LCS when he passes b/c it's a favorite of both of theirs

Seems like all those Image comics guys draw women the same. The only difference is the quality of their art.

I'd put Silvestri far above Lee, but as pretty as they are, their women are not my taste. (Same for Campbell, Turner, etc.)
