Saw this at the Previews website. ooks pretty cool!
Predator 2: Cutting Disc & Hand Limited Edition Prop Replica
In the 1990 sequel to the original Predator movie, the fearsome extra-terrestrial continues his hunt in the urban jungle of Los Angeles. Hollywood Collectibles Group have joined forces once again with acclaimed special effects house Stan Winston Studios, to create the first ever screen accurate licensed Predator 2 Cutting Disc.
Using their original molds, the artisans at Stan Winston have faithfully recreated the Hero Cutting Disc, or smart weapon as it is sometimes known, and have also designed a desk top display using the Predator's hand to hold the disc, again from the original molds!
The disc also features working electronics. The cutting disc pulls apart slightly to "activate," just like in the movie. When in this open position the LEDs strobe to create the same lighting effect as seen in the movie. Each piece is hand-cast, hand-finished, and hand-painted to exacting standards, then individually hand-numbered to just 1,000 pieces worldwide.
