sorry, I had king rib for dinner time for the gas mask :D

What was the magnatude, but sorry global warming can't cause a earthquake, the are caused by plates moving and then they slip and boom earthquake.

Ohh wait that was 4.8 those are nothing. Those arent even big enough to get me out of bed.:D We have them at least once a year.

At least all your stuff is ok and your ok.

WHOA! I hate earthquakes! My figures are displayed in a way that if an earthquake hit here, they'd for sure fall and break as they're pretty high up.

Glad to hear you're figures are all ok! But yea, if you say earthquakes rarely happen there, there's no need not to display your figures.

sorry if this is a ***** quake , the whole country is reating though , breaking news appaerently , it seemed to be really bad though , with a huge rumble.
One figure fell I have realized the avp elder , no damage thank god.
Thanks for the comments.

Its all what you are use to, being in california my whole like I so use to them, but most people that are not use to them have the same reaction. Its kinda funny when we have a good size to big earthquake how many people move back to midwest/east coast since they are so freaked out.

thanks for the link too man , I forgot to tell you.
Cheers m8 , much appreciated bud.
So if I'm still alive later on , I may comment back on this thread , tell you guys the proper details.

what are the chances of aftershocks , how long until I can put my stuff back ?.
Whats the usual time before an aftershock?.
Any help would be great.

They just had a 6 point earth quake here in Utah and they were feeling aftershocks for 3 or 4 days afterword.

It depends, sometimes they are quite small and pretty unnoticable, sometimes they can be as big or even bigger. They can hit at any time, hours after to a few days after. If I remember they classify it as a new quake after a few days.

my mate just said he was in the middle of taking a ( what I will politely call ) pee.
The room shook and he peed all over himself. He said it annoyed him but really freaked him out and nearly made him have an earthquake in his underpants!! :lol:lol:rotfl:rotfl

Quakes are never fun... I had to experience them both in Japan and in Lemoore, CA. The times I did have to deal with them, they were minor.. but still freaky. Especially the first time.

But after your 5th one, it loses it's effect. As long as it isn't TOO big. :lol

Good that you are ok and your collection survived. That's the most important thing.

I disagree the smaller ones are kinda fun, kinda like a roller coaster

I've lived in Southern California my whole life and I still hate earthquakes (the smaller ones are not a roller coaster rides for me:lol). I don't freak out when they happen but they do startle me. Most of the time I don't even run for cover unless it starts to really gain in strength. I can only imagine what it must be like if one has never felt one before though and all of a sudden one of a 4.0 or higher hits.
