Does anyone know or can anyone estimate the current value of the entire 180 figure line of the Eaglemoss LOTR collection? I am having extreme trouble finding any records of them being sold as a full set.

Also it seems #160-#180 go for much more, does anyone know why this is?

Thanks very much! :hi5:

It may be because by the time Eaglemoss got to #160 a lot of people who were collecting them had given up. It was only the died in the wood collectors like you and myself who were still in it for the long haul. So Eaglemoss didn't make so many of the later numbers.

As for the overall worth of the complete collection, sorry to say, there doesn't seem to be the interest out the at the moment. Perhaps when The Hobbit hits that may change. It is more afordable to picking these things up over the years, than to fork out a chunk of money in one go for the complete collection. It's realy all down to how much a buyer is prepaited to pay, rather than the value of such a collection.

I have seen the full set range from £250 to £900, they don't come up as a full set often and the combined weight means either massive courier charge or collection only (that's just the boxed figures. The magazines, bases etc add to the weight and costs)
The last figures are harder to come by as a lot of people gave up on the line once Eaglemoss kept expanding the range finally taking it to 180. I suspect there are a fair few complete sets about and the later pieces might get sold at some point, but there are a lot of people regreting not sticking with it and now trying to complete what is a great set of figures!
Keep checking eBay for 'job lots' or 'sets in the description and it is always worth asking the seller if they take offers or if they have any of the later pieces they may be selling at some point. :wink1:

I got rid of most of the boxes and magazines, but i do have all 180 models, but i guess the value of my collection will have dropped considerably with no boxes or magazines!
