Can I just highlight the difference between 'scene' and 'seen'
Ya I just tried it out one time, and was shocked how it came out. It was a test on a expensive statue. Rambo PCS 1/3rd. Rambo needed sweat. He looked tan but not all wet like the scene should be. So I added that gloss, now on Rambo I didn't add much because he didn't need much. But predator is a reptile type alien and wet through out the jungle so he needed coats put on. Plus using a paint brush their is no brush stokes, it just looks wet. The dreads needed one coat. I think I will go back on the base and start finding areas to make it wet. After all it is a jungle and in that environment its either hot or wet. So, like I was telling others. Don't sweat the small stuff. Flat paint can be fixed easy with alien type creatures. See I think that's what this world needs is more positivity. Some love to talk down to others or hate on things. I used to do it. But for me I was so upset cuz I wanted the statue and the sculpt was off. But we live we have to realize what's most important in life. Its a fun hobby. I look for ways to make the statue better. But then again, some statues to me are just great and don't need anything. But we all have our likes. But again those getting this will not be disappointed. Even those movie accurate. Thanks for the compliment, that was really cool! That gloss really does take this to a new level of realism. Not just one ugly MF but one organic, real looking ugly MF. All statue companies doing future JHs, please take note of this!!
Was that me that said that, I know the difference lol! But I do not proof read sometimes. Seen is looking. Scene is like a movie scene. But it sounds like something I would do. LOLCan I just highlight the difference between 'scene' and 'seen'
Looks good, I have to admit. Definitely gives the skin some much-needed depth. Here are more shots of the third application.
Still much needed work in progress, will take weeks. Many applications. I will keep you posted. Just the body and base left to do.Looks good, I have to admit. Definitely gives the skin some much-needed depth.
Got any photos of the full statue after your mods or are you still working on them?
Well, I am right their with you. I live in Huntington beach, Southern California, Surf City. I live in a one bed room condo 800 square foot place. With countless of statues. Reason why I am getting out of this hobby. But I have more on PO then that is all. Look up the cost of living in Huntington Beach, bet you its more than most places. I bought low. Its worth 400 thousand plus. Good investment, but I want a bigger pad and I do not want to live underneath someone. I have a great pad nice yard. But never again will I live underneath someone. Now I am so upset in 2009 I had the opportunity to get a two bedroom for about the same price. Just wasn't as nice. But I could have fixed it up. So, ya I am not happy I passed on that. Anyways, I live close to the beach, you can't beat that. But getting 70 degree weather year round is why pple live here. Idk if I can do another state. But Oregon, is nice. I lived there in the service. It just rains a lot but beautiful. I just love it here. I need a house though. But my small condo is a museum. But I never cared what pple thought. I am who I am. But I hear ya with the housing issues in Cali.I agree. My reason for the 1/3 is because when I’m all set and done, I will have four 1/3 Alien statues. The CoolProps Giger maquette. The Dog Alien. The P1 Big Chap action-pose, and the CoolProps Alien Warrior. So I need at least one 1/3 Predator to compliment my 1/3 Alien collection. I have a very small display room. It’s about one third the size of your collection room (which is awesome by the way). Believe me, if I had more room, I’d get the 1/4 Big Game and the Hunter Victim tree as well. Man, sometimes I hate living in bloody Northern California Bay Area (the year round weather is fantastic though). The houses are so expensive. My little two bedroom bungalow will get me a friggin mansion anywhere else, lol. Well, the collection is in a backyard cottage I had built, so at least I managed extra space on that, lol. Maybe I should move to Texas or something, I can get a huge house with full basement, three car garage, and a friggin pool, lol.
I told you man!!!! It truly is such an epic statue, those that don't own it don't realize what this thing is all about. My unboxing video is uploading now. Tons more pics in the video but here's a few.
"The jungle...it just came alive and took him."
EPIC PRIME 1 Predator Statue! Truly the centerpiece of the collection.
The Jungle Hunter has always been my favorite creature design and this has easily taken the Crown as my favorite piece in the collection. Few minor issues here and there but overall WOW! Not only is thing heavy it has an amazing shelf presence. I love the greenery and the contrast with the red from the bloody skull/spine.
And with the hunters victim in route there's really nothing more I need for a Predator display. This thing totally rocks my socks off
Ever consider Texas? I grew up in Oregon, now I'm in SoCal for work (and the weather, let's be honest ). While it's likely I'll have to stay here at least a few more years, I wouldn't mind moving to a place like Texas precisely because of the absurdly low rent -- I checked out some listings a couple weeks back just for fun and my jaw still hasn't come up from the floor.Well, I am right their with you. Dude I am calling you out on your false statment and showing you proof that you are BSing and putting words in my mouth and you are starting to insult me like that? You hope I won't breed? I had a child who died you moron. How dare you? One thing is to disagree with me but you are going too far. Just stop. And I don't care about your military life. Keep that to yourself. Also you don't know a thing about my personal life so be very careful here. Stop the insults! Also do me a favor and put me on the ignore list. See Jaws handled the situation like an intelligent person. Maybe you should do the same. But I am sure you will be triggered by that too. I am done here.Ya I think when I opened the big box, the biggest surprised was the base! I was like wtf.
dude your hitting a nerve, one cuz your still here yapping. Like, one of those little toy dogs. To me this is a joke. I just have to say stfu and get out of here how’s that sound! The time to be civil has passed. Oh theirs a different looking mark on it. The paint is different. You hear yourself? For one you haven't scene either in person. So it all subjective. None of us are right. But ur just a pest now who won't leave. Can’t wait to hear you ***** about the one turd!!! Lol. God, I hope these pple don’t breed LOL! No offense to what generation your from. But damn, I never heard a sick statue getting bitched at. Just amazes me. Yet pple still amaze me with their stupidity and bitching and whining. Ive done my fair share. But this guy needs to get out of here.
Yes.would your feelings still be the same if there was no 1/3 to order?
First, your back bitching again! Also, I don't get triggered. But I will defend myself. Especially on my comment that apparently you totally misread. But Ill get to that in a minute. But I read what I wrote, I didn't say a damn personal thing. You took it how you took it.Dude I am calling you out on your false statment and showing you proof that you are BSing and putting words in my mouth and you are starting to insult me like that? To damn hot lol, oh and I don't like the cowboys LOL. Na but seriously, I eventually hope to get a town home some day. I own my condo and made a lot of equity, but anyways, I love where I live. I just want to have my own town home. No one above me at all. So, will see. But I live Huntington Beach. Anyways, I wish you the best man! PeaceEver consider Texas? Ya I own all those too, and I have to say this statue is very underrated. I like it better than the CM predator. Don't get me wrong, thats a grail but this is just another level. I don't know what people are seeing that doesn't look like the prototype. Its pretty much identical other than flat paint. Like I said easy fix. The sculpt is dead on. Its just CM I sold cuz it was out dated. I don't regret it either. Its something you really need to see, to fully get the greatness of the statue. But your opinion is yours. But the csutkakoma dude has been a pain in the *** since he got here. Anyways, I don't want to waste another sentence on him. That's why I never judge a statue unless I see it. If the sculpt is grail. I know I can make the paint grail as well. Thanks again. Peace.Awesome gloss work matturibe1and awesome video Rzeznikk! I ultimately ended up cancelling for similar reasons as csutkakoma but am happy for those who got it. Quite a few of my mates have got this / are getting it and I can't wait to see the photos (especially since some have never owned a highend statue before). It truly is an awesome statue just not the masterpiece the Prototype was.
I probably wouldn't have cancelled if it wasnt for me owning the SWS Maquette and CM, especially if Prime 1 didn't do the 1/3. Really wish i had room for the Victim tho, that piece is a stunning companion piece to any Predator collection.
Yeah, man. California has the best year round weather in the USA. It’s never too hot, never too cold. No humidity. No hurricanes. No tornados. We do get forest fires though, and every few decades, a huge earthquake, lol.Well, I am right their with you. I live in Huntington beach, Southern California, Surf City.
