Just wodering... Why Does darth Vader, an imperial, Come with a Light-up stand featuring the Symbol of the republic, and not the empire?

This is the symbol on his stand. it's the Symbol of the republic from Episode 2-3.

This is the Symbol of the Empire from Episode 4-6.

As this vader seems to be a smowhat amalgamation of thet suit from Empire and Jedi, it would make sense that the base should feature the Imperial Symbol, and not the republic one.

If, instead, he was the Hayden/ Episode 3 Vader, then I guess the REpublic symbol would make more sense.

My personal thaughts is this is something of an accidental oversight due to the similarity of the two symbols.

And lets be honest here, 250$ makes him the most expensive figure sideshow has done to date. And at that price, being the first one at that range, AND your second go at Vader... there really is no room for mistakes.

So... can you help me to understand what's happening here?

Shows the right one in the picture on the product page. :dunno

Re: 1/6th Vader Light-up Stand question

Which makes me wonder if the whole thing is just an illusion or a big Photoshopped thing right now and they have not actually finished their design.

Re: 1/6th Vader Light-up Stand question

Cool, glad to see they're listening and willing to make revisions, still.

Re: 1/6th Vader Light-up Stand question

Should I simply change the title, or make new threa for other questions, requests regarding Vader?

For 250$ a plastic chain is not going to cut it.

Re: 1/6th Vader Light-up Stand question

There's still lots of uncertainty in regards to how the figure will eventually look, so an ongoing thread might be a good idea, I think.

In regards to the chain, Shalamar and a few others posted pics from RotJ and sure enough the one-piece molded plastic chain is screen accurate. I guess they used real chain on the costumes that travelled for display, which is maybe why I remembered it as being metal with individual links.
