punisher premium format gun defect?

Got my sideshow punisher premium format statue just yesterday and opened to inspect it and the top of the gun where target sight is seems to be a little chipped or melted looking and not smooth like rest of gun. Is this normal or a defect?

Yah, unfortunately the weapon isn't the best cast piece. The rail/sights mounted on top isn't all that straight, mine popped out when I received it. It's made from a different material than the shotgun body. It just is what it is basically...
