very nice early classic look, right from his 1st appearance. don't think i'll get him tho, as i prefer the later looks more. actually i'm pretty happy w/ the Marvel Studios fig or even the Maddox sculpt of the Bradstreet Punisher

It doesn't appear to be from the first appearance of the Punisher.

It looks like a Mike Zeck Punisher!! YES!!!!!!!!!!

It definitely looks like the most "definitive" look of the Punisher as most comic fans know it. The white skull with the white gloves and boots...PERFECT!

I'm going to go out on limb here and say that I hate it. I think its a horrible design and looks really cheap. The face is really off....

i don't agree with you, but i also don't like it. it's a cool figure but not the punisher to me. where's the thomas jane version??:monkey3

I like the source - it the comic version rather than the movie. The one thing I have a problem with is some of the RAH comic characters seem to be a bit "weedy" (I'm thinking primarily of the comic book wolverine here). It could be fixed by swapping in a HT Muscular body with the leg sheathes, but at the price point involved it really shouldn't be necessary.

I'm thinking that I could make a better custom for a lot less than this will sell for.

I'm a massive Marvel fan but not really a huge fan of the Punisher as a character, a few days ago I wouldn't have thought I'd pick up something like this, but I really like this figure.

I'm glad Medi are continuing their comic book line of Marvel figures and hope we get at least four new ones per year.

The only one I won't be preordering is Venom/Punisher, I'm a big Marvel fan but I've got some sense:rotfl

Awesome! Looks like whoever displayed those just slapped em on down with no regard though. I'll pass, I'm not a Punisher fan, but still cool.

i think the sculpt is pretty cool, but the body just doesn't portray the Punisher IMO. he's too skinny-- wasn't he pretty beefed up in most of the comics?? i know the most recent one i read a couple months ago he looked all jacked up from working out, but this figure he looks like he's on Trimspa or something.

BIG PUNISHER FAN HERE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FIGURE !!!! MEDICOM'S COMIC STYLE SCULPT GOES PERFECTLY ON THIS ONE....I DID SAY I WONT BE BUYING 12'' FIGURES ANYMORE, BUT THIS ONE LOOKS TOO GOOD TOO PASS....:monkey3

Well, the face sculpt is actually pretty good to the source material. Looks pretty close to the Mike Zeck Punisher. As far as the body, the Dillion Punisher from the Garth Ennis run wasn't that big either. Don't get me started on the horrrible design from the Punisher Max series. A Thomas Jane Punisher would be nice, but I would rather have this version of the Punisher.

I think the thing you have to remember is alot of Medi's comic book Marvel characters appear to be artist specific. Like with the Venom, it was based on Todd McFarlane's look in ASM 300 and alot of people preferred Bagley's look so they didn't like it, even though it was quite accurate. I think it depends on the artist interpretation of the character you prefer and that could influence whether you like the figure.
