Hi guys. I'm on the verge of putting down a deposit on one of these suckers. Just wanted to ask some questions for those who have bought one.

1) Does your endo come with 2 right arms. If so can you state which version you have and which year you bought it?

2) What is the overall chrome job like on the combat endo. Is flaking chrome a regular feature on the combat endo?

Sorry for the question but this is a 6k item for me and i'd really need as much input on this as possible.

thanks in advance,
James.

James,

mine came with a right and a left arm...not sure what you mean by 2 right arms ?

The right arm is holding the plasma gun.

I have the combat version and the chrome is fine..has battle damage (I believe just like the endoskulls, its painted). I will be cleaning it to look like the clean chrome version shortly.

You will not be disappointed !

I can help you with your question but you need to send me your Endoskeleton first so I can analyze it for about 10 years. Hahaha!

Seems the clean version came with two arms :( see this thread:

I have one of the original Sideshow Clean 1:1 Endos and, unless I misplaced a box somewhere, it did not come with two right arms....the only right arm I have is holding the plasma rifle.

It may be that early models/prototypes put out by Lucas Francis Studios (which had an entirely different base than the official Sideshow release) came with two right arms....but good luck getting hold of one of those. You can see some pics of those beasts at www.lucasfrancisstudio.com.

The original prototype, which was revealed at SDCC, had no plasma rifle in it's right hand. Perhaps this is where the confusion has originated.

ahh. thanks for clearing that up guys. saved me a trunk call to SSC :D

on the same lines does any one have a list of common faults to look out for ? as i will have mine soon and would like to know what to look out for.

Do another before and after bro! :joy

However, you might want to do a once over inspection first.

I heard a rumour that the BD or combat version was created because SS was unable to do all the clean ones perfectly (meaning some of the chroming did not go perfect).

They therefore decided to come up with the combat version and painted over the flaws and stop producing the clean ones. :monkey2

Thanks for the tip...I will definitely have a close inspection!
I will do before and after pics...I might do it this coming weekend...time to go buy some more acetone free nail polish

I know a guy in sweden wich bought a clean endoskelton with a extra arm whitout plasma rifle..he can change the one arm between plasma rifle arm or empty arm..maybe you can special order for extra money ?

I wouldn't mind paying more if that is still an option. Could you find out if and whe he bought his. Was it from sideshow or another manufacturer?

$6k for this sucker that is one heck of a good deal. The last one i try to buy was offer to me at $10k and will not budge so i back out of the deal. Congrats. James.

Hi Hung. 6k is for the BD or combat version. I'd be on cloud 9 if it were for the clean version.

Have not pulled the trigger yet. Just sold my 1:4 endo so the funds are coming together.

Just need to call SS and ask if i could get the extra arm for some extra $$

that would really help tip me over.

Congrats on selling the 1:4 Endo tnaig!
I am so glad to see this is all coming together for you. You will need to upgrade your "Happiness Personified" thread soon enough :D

Thanks man. Realize I'm quite a fan of Stan Winston's design. My fav is still the P1 followed by the endo :)
