Question regarding modding HT stands

If you have a stand that has a character's name plate on it, can that be removed fairly easily? I want to get some stands for my bashed figures and apply custom labels on them. Can this be done or will there be a hole or residue under that name plate after it's busted off?

I don't have an extra stand to mess with or else I wouldn't be asking.

He cuts them to go around the sides of the name plate. Then you get a name decal too.

You can pull off the name tag (if you don't want one) and the sticker will lay pretty well over top of it. I didn't notice anything weird when I did that with my Batman stand.

I had a Batman Begins Stand, so I just pulled up the nameplate and then glued it back down after I applied the decal.

Also, if you have the TrueType stands they don't have the name plate, so even less of an issue.
