Question to Canadians regarding SSC shipping

I only get my items on Toys2 but I pre-ordered a few figures at SSC so I was wondering how much the shipping off a Hot Toys figure is for Canada. Any help would be great, I just need a ballpark.

I personally haven't ordered anything off Sideshow but I know for sure that you will be hit with customs, taxes, etc. If they ship with USPS then your shipping costs should be kept to a minimum but if they ship with UPS, Fedex, then you can expect high brokerage fees.

ya I usually buy from Eric at toys2 but it depends .. something around a hot toys size box I believe was around $20-40 for shipping. And they ship using FedEx but you will probally get hit by customs or fee's

Damn, I should have known!No way I'll be adding taxes and duties to my figures. That's is just too much to pay for it. UPS brokerage fee alone is so high already... SUCH A SCAM! I think I'll just ship to buffalo and will pick up across the border. I also better rethink some of my orders. Some of those exclusives are not worth the trouble.

The only item I ordered from sideshow was a premium format statue, and they ship it out via fedex for $25...which I think was a decent shipping price since the statue had a pretty big box. Days later, Fedex charge me custom fee of I think $25...the statue cost $250

Shipping is a flat rate of $25 (using Fedex) for the majority of SS pieces. Only when the boxes get real big does the price go higher. Even the 1:1 wolverine was only $25 to ship.

When it crosses the border you then have to pay taxes (GST + PST or HST) and duties/customs fees/fedex handling fees if you don't have a fedex account.

Sorry, I live on the border so I get all of my SSC stuff (mostly Exc.) sent to a US addy and then drive them across.

A typical figure that costs around $190 will come too around $250 after shipping taxes etc.

Example: Ht: Bruce Lee came out to $284. preorder price was @ $220
